When you Google Doug Stanhope's height you will find out it's 170cm and he was the same height with Rogan in The Man Show. So Rogan being 170cm is a pretty good guess (if Stanhope's 170cm height is legit that is) but then again Stanhope usually does not have the most upright posture so maybe Joe could be around 168cm. You should also factor in the possibility that Joe may have lost a fraction of height due to his age. I would give Joe 169cm.

I ran into Joe in LA. I was measured prior to surgery about 10 months ago at 5'10.33" don't feel like listing my weight :) anyhow, Joe and I were wearing the same brand of shoe, but I have an AFO(Ankle Foot Orthotic), which if it does matter is maybe 1/4 inch, but his eyebrows were pretty much dead even with my eyes. So, like 2-2.5 inches shorter. He's 5'7" at worst and probably in that 5'7" to 5'8" range. I even asked my sister to slyly stand next to him. She's 5'6" had a little bit more of sole on her shoe, he was still noticeably, but not much taller.

@walker - did you actually watch the video you posted? Cruz was not barefoot - he had shoes on. And I wouldn't say he looked full inch taller (although Rogan might have had thicker heal).

I think rogan is around the 5 foot 6.5 range. Domincik cruz was about half inch to an inch taller than him in the wegh meanwhile Cruz was about the same heghit as listed 5,7 takeya mizugaki in the wegh in. So we have a true listed 5,7 fighter who is a bit taller than rogan.

If he got towered by a 5'10 person then he really could not be more than 5'6-5'7, I am 5'10 or so and I tower over guys under 5'8, if he was a full 5'8 the said person would hardly even felt the difference. 5'8-5'11 range feels more or less the same/average.

This guy wears insoles inside his shoes too make you look taller. I was behind him in line at the airport. When they had to make him take off his shoes. He went from 5'7.5 like me. I took off my shoes already when he had his. When he took off his shoes he was 5'5 the same height as my wife. He wears those shoes that gives him additional height.

Based on the overwhelming evidence on this page and several other places, it is very likely Joe is 5'5.25 or so barefoot night height.

He's always walking around in those bloated orthopaedic shoes, especially at UFC events where he knows he's going to be interviews on television. You only have to look at his stumpy frame to know he's far closer to 5'6 than he is 5'8. He's a very insecure man, so him wearing lifts makes perfect sense.

Joe corrected her, refering to the height on the doctor's report (all contestants are measured and undergo a medical, obviously for insurance purposes)and she admitted being 4'9.5" tall. Joe refers to the accuracy of the show's doctor, claiming he too was measured; 5'8.5" being his certified height.

I met him in Manchester after his comedy show. Fantastic show, and a really great, down to earth friendly guy. His height though I'd put at 5f6. I'm 6ft1 and towered over him. I don't think he was even at my shoulder level. I'd be amazed if he was 5ft7 barefoot.

Yea I met him at one of his shows the guy is nowhere near 5'8... 5'7 out of bed 5'6.5 the rest of the day then he Rocks lifts on the regualr. It's why you won't find him in public with shorts on.

I've been watching ufc wired on hulu lately. 5'11 rashad Evans had him by 5 inches easy. Joe came to the bottom of his nose. And he was interviewing a 5'8 fighter who's name I don't remember, but he easily had 2 inches on him..... he's 5'6

I reckon he looks noticeably below average for a man. How on Earth did I see 6'0" for him before? I'm a bit of an idiot I guess. This listing seems about right to me. In MMA you can shape you style to your height. Anderson Silva wouldn't fight the way he does without his super-long limbs & reach. Little dudes tend to be tougher cause they have to be --little man complexes --I used to have one but then I grew.

I saw on UFC a few nights ago a guy they listed at 5'11 was next to Joe Rogan in the ring and Rogan only looked 1 or 2 inches tops less than him but Rogan was in shoes but Rogan can sometimes look 5'9-5'10 on UFC while he's really 5'8.

I may have 4 inches on him (the 5'8" J.R.) and my sister is about his height, but believe me short guys have the advantage in using their lower body and move quicker. I've seen Matt Hughes (5'9) defeat 6'0 guys like myself on UFC.

If you look closely when he interviews the winners at the MMA bouts, he is ALWAYS wearing thick boot like shoes with extra heels. This gives us the impression that he is bigger than he is. Also, because he trained in martial arts, he has a very strong torso. I don't like him, but when I saw him in The Comedy Club, he was seriously buffed!

When the 5'10 person said they towered over him it makes it seem like he's 5'5-5'6 while he can't be that short.

I agree with both D and Danimal. "Hate" and "respect" color a lot of judgments. One area men are notoriously bad at is assessing the footwear of women. Although difficult to divine heel height at a distance, esp with pants tailored to cover their shoes, I think grabbing a ruler when the girlfriend is not looking would increase the knowledge base of men that frequent this site as well as in dating life. I also think women judge their height in heels as if that were their actuall height, and/or choose their man based on whether they could wear high heels in their presence comfortably.
I just caught an old ep of Mad tv that Joe R hosted. As he stood next to Phil Lamar as the credits rolled, there was barely an inch between them. I am not SURE what phil's height is, but when he guested on an ep of NYPD Blue, he was much shorter than Dennis Franz, and was maligned for being 5'6" and what they would do to someone that small in jail. I know it is a long way to go for an accurate frame of reference, but I had a lot of time on my hands today.
