Hey. I'm 5' 2". I've served in the US Army as an 82nd airborne paratrooper, then in the USMC. It's kind of a weird thing to be cursed with something that you are later glad for. My lack of height has forced me to me a fighter. Now, I'm good at fighting so I can basically get whatever I want. I've been married for 25 years, and my lover and I are still very passionate for each other. I think I could have had more women, but I love being in love with my wife.
My precious daughter is 4'10" and has served as a US Army soldier. How about you?

My father was 17 years old, stood at 5'3 and weighed 99 pounds when he decided to sign up for the U.S. Marine Corps. The recruiter had my father eat pounds of fruit so that he could meet the minimum weight requirements. Once in boot camp, they had to go to the women's barracks to find clothes that would fit him. He was labeled the "Mouse Private" by the instructor. 79 men were in his platoon from the beginning. Only 35 graduated. My father was one of those 35. He is 5'6 now, but the point is just because your short, doesn't mean you cant be one of the baddest mother****ers in the world! ;)

I beg to differ Mel John. It actually depends on the place where you are living. For example being a short man in Netherlands will not help you get many girlfriends, in a former socialist country where women are too materialistic and the society has a really bad background, the height+looks (both together) are important. But, if you really don't want to have any problems allover the globe, just try to earn lots of money. Even if you are 4'11'' you will have girls. Also i think 5'6'' is the right height for him

Hey, what's with you guys who say at 5'9" (or whatever) the girls find you too short! Find different girls! At 5'6" I've NEVER had a problem finding girls - and neither would you if you didn't believe all this bull about height being important. Believe me (and Prince, and Marc Anthony, and Dudley Moore, and Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon, and Jamie Callum, and Charlie Chaplin, and Charles Boyer etc. etc.). You've either got it or you haven't and blaming your height is really missing the point.

Mitch, "It must really suck for the tiny" 5 foot 6 may be short, but it is not that short. 5 foot 6 is not tiny, even for a man.
4 foot 11 and below = dwarf
5 foot 0 - 5 foot 3 = tiny
5 foot 4 - 5 foot 7 = short
5 foot 8 - 5 foot 11 = average
6 foot - 6 foot 3 = tall
6 foot 4- 6 foot 6 = very tall
6 foot 7 - .... = giant

Satchy, great picture. Marc looks so tiny! He looks about 7 inches shorter than Jay. I heard that the average forehead is around 4 inches and Marc is well below that at Leno's nose. Marc doesn't seem to be taller than 5f4 barefoot... maybe even a bit less. In shoes he can't be more than 5f5.

I think this one's on the money. The only reason Cruise looks nearly 3 inches taller is because of lifts. Get Cruise and Marc Anthony next to each other barefoot and Cruise will barely be taller than him.

He is definitely 5'6. I met him after a concert last year. Short guys never get a break. This guy lands one of the most beautiful women in the world (or had) and still the hate pours in. You wonder why parents are scrambling to pump their little boys full of HGH and boys with an internet connection are doing everything they can to become tall. It's because they all know of all the negative B.S. that will come their way as they get older. No wonder shorter guys are more likely to commit suicide. Did Anon seriously say that "short guys are more likely to become homosexual as they get older"?. WTH!

He's real tiny, both in height and in proportions, he might be 5'5 Rob, J.Lo is 5'4 and is about 1.5" taller than Marc when in 5" platform heels that migth give her 2.5" advantage over his 2.5" extra height of lifts plus dress shoes. Do the math, check the many pics, and judge for yourself.

How is it possible he is taller than J Lo? Maybe because she is in heels. But I'd have previously estimated him at 5'5" and J Lo 5'6", not the other way around.

Whilst I admit to finding the taller guy more physically attractive than a shorter one, it has never stopped me dating a small guy. In fact, I am 5' 6" and my husband is the same, but he is of a much smaller build than I. He looks short and skinny and I look tall and slim; standing together and I look huge, especially in 4" heels! lol. However, he is a confident man and has no worries about his size. I think Marc Anthony has a magnificently, sensuous and beautiful voice and therein lies his attractiveness, I am sure for many women. Personally, I think he is rather sexy :D

[Editor Rob: i've never heard anyyhing of his, although you can only say someone is downgraded if you know their measured height...nobody on here has measured celebs.]

Obviously, not the best picture, but that's clearly more than a 4" difference. If one was to straighten out the picture and bring the two closer, it's pretty clear that Marc comes up to below George's nose. Marc Anthony is a very small man.

I've met him, he lives near me, he is tiny, like one of the smallest men I have ever met. He can't be more than 5' 4" tops. I'm 5'8" and he barely came up to my chin.

who cares he's got J Lo. Height will allways be an issue for some.Some see it as a reason to feel better or think their better. I've seen guys of 5'3 / 5'6 fighting guys of >6'0 and beat them and vise versa. When push comes to shove the only thing that counts is who you really are and how that gets you through ****. And o yeah women with comments please show us who you are dating/or living with/married to without faking. Bet that it aint dwayne the rock johnson or johnny depp material..

Mitch, Marc is as low as 5f2. I think he's 5f4 and Jennifer is 5f3 barefoot. Here they are with 5f7 Tom Cruise and his 5f10 wife Katie Click Here Tom does have at least 3 inches on him. Height estimation is so much fun with celebs because how they often fudge their height. Look at Paula Abdul who claims to be 5f2 but she's obviously much smaller than that.

J Lo is barely over 5'5" and she towers over Mark. Her hands, shoulders, arms, legs and head are also a lot bigger than his very petite frame. Look at the pictures of them at the 2011 Grammys. You can see the lifts Mark is wearing in the pix and she still towers over him. Mark is probably more like 5'2". Actors rarely list there "real" height if they're of smaller stature. Just like female models are always saying they're taller than their true height. Tall people are considered more beautiful in the media. Sad for us shorties! I'm 5' 9" and in great shape with a decent face. But most women find me to be too short! It must really such for the tiny guys! :( At least J LO really seems in love! She can have just about any man on Earth and is with her little guy. Cool. But they do look a little funny together. I love taller women but won't date them because it makes me look shorter! Keepin it real man.

Here we go again. I guess it won't ever stop. People thinking celebs are shorter than they are. Especially people who see them in public, as if this gives them validation, when in actuality, it warps your judgment, until you actually know them, or see a reflection of you standing next to them. Own your height.. I like that. The way I look at it, it's a simple way to strain out the shallow girls. You do not find a good woman in a bar, why you ask? Bars are filled with people who are seeking emotional relief whether it's insecurities, stress, depression etc. Seek a woman who knows what she wants, step outside of your comfort zone. You would be very surprised, at the amount of women who seek a gentleman. I, like steve, am a 5 ft 2 man. I stay fit, and I aim to live outside the box. Be unique, Marc Anthony isn't exactly your traditional "alpha male" he is unique, and he uses it to his advantage. Society frowns upon short men? I dare you to live outside the means of it.

I had a lot of issues with my height until I read about the heights of a lot of celebrities here because people are very mean and belittle others for something they have no control over. The jokes, they leave with you even after grade school. There are a lot of short successful people with hot wives. Dating is ROUGH for the short man, but if you believe in yourself and keep yourself away from the negativity (even if they think it is just fun), you'll be okay.

Even after all of the B.S. Marc Anthony was the one who got J Lo, all 5'5 of the guy. I'm 5'6 and met him in Madison Square Garden. I had on a pair of Converses which are basically flat. He had on shoes and I was still an inch taller. Long live successful short men.

I'm 5 ft 3, never had an issue with girls. Marc Anthony is about 5 ft 4, and he has a wife with the nicest ass I have ever seen.
