Agree with Maximus. Average height in America and Europe is 5'9", its a fair bit less in across Asia. 5'10" is a solid height and a bit above average. I'm 5'9.75" and I get quite a few people commenting that I seem quite tall. No doubt, Jane, at 5'10" with shoes on and some stage prescense seems tall - and technically he is.

I'm 5'10 1/4 tall...flat foot no shoes...but when I wear regular sneakers I'm around 5'11 1/2....with my other shoes 6'. In other words I never have someone call me "shorty"....the reason Thomas Jane doesnt look short is because 5'10" is not short....with shoes on a 5'10" person is pushing 5'11" to 6'.....cruise, pacino,hofman, the lord of the rings hobbit cast..lol...they look short because they are all in the 5'5 to 5'7 range a good 3" to 5" shorter than thomas jane.

According to this article of "Men's Health" he is 177cm. The article refers to his transformation for his role in "The punisher".I think that this is probably very accurate cos is given by the people who helped him to built his muscles. And I assume that they meassued him thoroughly. Click Here

Thomas Jane definitely looks taller than 5'10"... I haven't seen a single photo or movie in which he looks less than 6ft or at least a strong 5'11". It can't be just the camera angles. Does he wear lifts all the time?

Jane has been listed 177cm = 5ft9.5 in European version of Mens Health. In the Punisher he was wearing lifts and they made him look taller with the help of camera angles and sloping ground.

Either Rebecca Romijn isn't 5'10.5 or Thomas Jane is taller. He looks nearly 2 inches taller than her in The Punisher.

I noticed that he prefers to wear high heeled cowboy boots in premieres. There is plenty of pics in which he towers over David Arquette by 3-4 inches, but then again there is alot of pics in which David and Thomas are pretty much the same height. I bet he also stuffs his boots sometimes.

Jane_sighter, the reason why I said that he is an honest guy is that usually he looks around 6ft not just in movies, but also in event and candid pics. A lot of guys with his built and height would claim 6ft or even 6ft1. I think he is really close to 5ft10 which he claimed.

Just met Mr. Jane yesterday at the San Diego Comic-Con. I stand 6'0" exactley(many many many measurments lol) and I could have sworn he stood an inch taller than me. Granted he was behind a table where I couldnt see if he was standing on the same level ground as I was. Maybe I was just in awe of meeting him. Hes an extremely nice and open guy. If you do see him don't bring up the Punisher, he's quite bitter about that. (I didnt bring it up, some other guy near us did.)

Gotta love the people who get all bent out of shape about the height of someone they have nothing to do with - unless Lmeister is Jane's PR flack. This guy looked just like Thomas Jane BECAUSE HE WAS THOMAS JANE. He was talking about a project I happen to know Thomas Jane is working on. You can cry all you want, but the dude is a small-fry. High heels on male boots are cool if you're not 5'7" and using them to compensate. Get over it folks, the guy is not tall. My personal favorite is the "He is one of the most honest guys in showbiz" comment. Where'd the heck did you get that from, Lmeister???

He seemed taller than both Ben Foster and Rebecca Romijn in The Punisher. The difference between Romijn and Jane was about half an inch. I'd say at least 5'10.5".

The studio had him listed at 5-10 for The Punisher media press kit. I saw it several times myself. There is a great indie film called "Thursday" with Aaron Echkart?, Paulina Porizkova, and Mickey Rourke. There are several scenes where Jane is clearly shorter than Porizkova in her three inch heels, and he seems almost two inches shorter than Aaron, who is listed at 5-11. I think the 5-10 statement is a slight rounding up!

I'd go with 5'10, I remember reading somewhere where he talked about the fight scene in the Punisher where he mentioned the 6'10 Kevin Nash as being a "solid foot" taller than him.. but who knows, I don't imagine him being any shorter than this.

but if hes around the 5'10 mark, could anyone tell me what his weight was before and after the Punisher? I mean after he put on all the muscle?

Good find mike. That photo looks like it was from the same photoshoot as the the photo I linked too. Jane is definately shorter in that pic. Rebecca is supposed to be 5'11" flat footed so I think Jane would have to be at least 5'10" since Rebecca likely has heels on for that event and she doesn't tower over him.

There is a scene by the window, they stand close together. He looks an inch taller than Rebecca. But she's barefoot and he is not. I think barefoot they are very close in height. A lot of sides have her listed at 5'10".

There was a great little film called "Thursdays" a few years ago with Jane and Aaron Eckhart. In all scenes, Aaron is at least an inch or more taller than Jane, and Eckhart is listed at 5-11 usually. 5-9 to 5-10 would be accurate.

[Editor Rob: there's another article on this site where I mention that you can't trust Thomas Jane height in the punisher. Namely there's one scene where he's walking along a corridor in his boots and she is barefeet...for a reason of course!]
