Slash definitely was a little over 5'9"(175 cm) peak, especially if you look at every Guns N' Roses member photo of all the bandmates together. Slash has terrible posture which made him lose a bit of height over the years, he seemed to have lost close to half an inch. The photo with him, Axl Rose, and Arnold Schwarzenegger made Slash seem short, but that is only because he wears flat converse shoes and slouches. I'm not buying the below 5'9" peak height for Slash like others here are.
If I had to pin-point the peak heights for (previous and current **not all of them**) GN'R members based on all my research and comparative photos:
5'8" 1/2 (174 cm) - (Axl Rose) --- Never was 5'9" he looks shorter than slash in every photo when younger. The 5'10" on his mugshot was grossly inflated.
5'9" 1/4 (175 cm) - (Slash)
6'1" 1/2 (186 cm) - (Duff)
5'10" (178 cm) - (Izzy)
5'11" (180 cm) - (Matt Sorum)
5'8" 1/4 (173 cm) - (Steve Adler) -- (the 5ft 7 claims are ludicrous, he has terrible posture like Slash)
5'9" 1/2 (176 cm) - (Richard Fortus), over listed by an inch for sure
6'1" (185 cm) - (Frank Ferrer)
5'11" 1/4 (180 cm) - (Dizzy Reed), overlisted by an inch
6'4" (193 cm) - (BucketHead). He towered over everyone in the 2000 -2004 lineup
5'4" 1/2 (163 cm) - (Melissa Reese). Most overlisted member, nowhere near 5ft 9 like some sources claim.

As you can tell, not a very tall band, especially the original lineup (besides Duff). Enormously talented group!

5ft 9 in his prime and 5ft 8 now. Axl rose was 5ft 8 in his prime from his mug shot and I think hes 5ft 7. There are photos of them together, looks like they are an inch apart.

I would doubt 5'9", he appeared to be shorter than Lemmy in the pics I see online (Lemmy would have been less than 5'9" in the late 2000's) - I assume - but I don't know - that they were both wearing boots with heels in those pics - maybe not.

From looking at slash he actually does seem more 5'9 range and especially looks it in his converse then his boots which can confuse you. I can understand the 5'10 listing from before because he can tower axl rose who is 5'8 1/2 by eye level in some pictures though in some pictures axl rose actually looks an inch taller then him or has an inch higher then him matching over his eyebrows. Plus Slash has an similar built too Taylor lautner when he was younger though I wouldn't go less then 5'8.75 for him maybe not over 5'9 1/2 for him. Though him claiming 5'10 1/2 maybe it's the hair or maybe he got measured at that or maybe the two inch rule which he is really is 5'8.5 range. I'm 5'8'' and met him while working at a ski resort. He was with ski boots on (that adds at least 2-3 inches) I was wearing just regular boots that would add me an inch or so. Glenn, I took my pictures with Slash to Rite Aid and they didn't come out, so I went to a special developing place, and they came out! I will post them later.
And I think Slash is 5'10"ish.
Glenn, I took my pictures with Slash to Rite Aid and they didn't come out, so I went to a special developing place, and they came out! I will post them later.
And I think Slash is 5'10"ish.

he usually looks 5-9.i have friends that look 5-9 to me and others.but when they strectch out,they are the 5-11 they claim..i realise this now.so i think slash was telling the truth.i saw him a few weeks ago.5-9ish,slouched.

Scott is like the typical "skinny makes you look taller guy"!
I once saw him on the same level of ground at about 20 meters away on a festival. Always thought was about 6'or even 6'1 on videos, but he looked about 5'10 or 5'11 to me. Couldnt get close enough to be sure though...and he needs a hamburger badly !

I met him many times since a friend of mine works for him -- he is just about 5'10 but he slouches really bad! Slash is a majorly nice guy in addition to being an awesome guitarist.
I met Axl many times too and he is no bigger than 5'7" on a good day.

I know that Duff (guy with the blond hair, bassist for G'n R) is 6'2" (he said it himself. Slash has large hair and wears big boots, he is about 5'9 - 5'10".

Also, if you have a look at Live at the Hippodrome in France (1992) gig where Slash plays one song with Lenny (who's wearing massive heels), you can tell that Slash is still definitely taller than Lenny, even though he's not wearing his cowboy boots. Personally, I reckon Slash is 5'10'' - I saw him playing live earlier this year and he's by no means shorter than that.

Slash is def not 6 ft! My friend had the honor of meeting him in Dublin and he said he towered over him. My friend is just around 6 ft. He also said slash was wearing his cowboy boots, which are bound to give him an inch or two. I would say that he is around 5 ft 9 but no shorter.
