i really dont know why ppl say he looked shorter than M.C.Hall in Dexter when they are exactly the same when the floor is even which you can see many times ... just watch season 5 again! I dont think Michael would edge him out they seem to be even in height. M.C.Hall is def in the 178 or 179 Area no more, no less.

I'd say he's 5'10, if he's listed at 5'9.75, he's probably 5'10 a good chunk of the day. If this is his low height, he's perfectly fine to go ahead and claim 5'10. He looks 5'10 in Elementary also.

At the end of the film 'Plunkett and MacLeane', you see Johnny walking down a tunnel with his co-stars Robert Carlisle and Liv Tyler. The fellas are one on each side of Liv and she is the tallest, at 5ft10!

If Jonny is 175 or under, then Michael C Hall should be downgraded. In Dexter, they look the same height and sometimes Jonny is shade over Hall.

Don't believe his footwear is clunky. Think the two-tone shoes he wears are by John Varvatos. He is very thin but believe that is because he does so much running. Looking taller or shorter than Ewan McGregor or Jude Law depends on the camera angle. Either way, he is a handsome package.

This guy is very hard to judge. Miller was no more than 5'9 in Trainspotting beside 5'10 McGregor but when he stands beside Angelina you think that he's a solid 5'11. The explanation for this is that Angelina Jolie is just 5'4-5'5 tall.

The Spotlight directory for male actors says 5'10", and as an actor you or your agent puts your height in for that. Most male actors big their height up (as you know!), so maybe he's being honest for Spotlight, otherwise I'm sure it would say 6ft or more.

Editor Rob actually I just realised I'd already added this guy a long time ago at 5ft 10.5, here is the first page, then added him again at 5ft 11. See my recent comment on the kevin mckidd page - after seeing trainspotting again, compared to mcgregor and carlyle he looks closer to 5ft 10...
