American actor best known for roles in films such as Pearl Harbour, Blackhawk Down, Lucky Number Slevin, The Faculty, Hollywood Homicide and TV series Penny Dreadful. He once commented "I was up for The Postman, and I read for it a couple times, but the casting lady told me I was too tall for the part -- taller than Kevin Costner!". Once on Jonathan Ross he was asked his measurements and Josh gave his height and weight as "Six Three, 185 pounds".

Immediately what comes to mind is if I could be a little bit taller. I'm six foot three but, I don't know, I always thought if I was two inches taller, I could play basketball much much better. I could dunk, I can't really dunk. I want to be able dunk. 6'3 is a good height, but two more inches would be great.

I don’t feel like I need to hide any more. I used to think I needed to protect my anonymity, so I only went to places with my friends and ignored people I didn’t know. But that was a dead-end road because it’s pretty narcissistic. So I’ve gone in the other direction. My theory is if they get aggressive, I’m 6ft 3in and I’m not small. I would be much more afraid of being famous if I were shorter and more vulnerable.

hey rob i think josh should get a boost. with matthew lillard, he never looked more than 1/2 an inch shorter than him. lillard is a legit 6'3.5. by that logic, you should give josh the boost. he is at least 6'3 flat. also wih ben affleck, he looked 5'8 inch taller than him. so josh deserves a boost in my faithful opinion.

Universally it’s probably somewhere between 6’2-6’3 for a male If talking a very tall height. All around 6’0-6’2 range. For me personally, I like the flat 6’4 or 6’3 7/8 afternoon height. I mention that 1/8” under only because it allows me to get to a flat 6’4 faster during the day but 1/8” only constitutes a small almost immeasurable amount under 6’4”. I actually consider someone that size (1/8” under their given mark in the afternoon/ evening) to be a legit 6’2, 6’3, 6’4 etc. at that stage a guy who is 6’3 7/8 would measure 6’4 at lunchtime.

Yeah but Bowie is clearly leaning a lot. And even drawing a line you see the top of David's head above Hartnett's eyebrows. He might have a little advantage in shoes, but he's slouching, while Hartnett's standing straight. Yeah but Bowie is clearly leaning a lot. And even drawing a line you see the top of David's head above Hartnett's eyebrows. He might have a little advantage in shoes, but he's slouching, while Hartnett's standing straight. If you're 6'3" a 5'9" guy would have the top of his head around the tip of your nose, definitely not at eyebrows level or even above it. Josh has never been 6'3" in his life.

Williamson is listed at 6'1.5 but doesn't look it standing near to legit 6'2" guys.
However, there's plenty of photos in wich Josh really doesn't look a full 6'2", while it's very rare to see him look 6'2" or more.
Take a look:

I don't see him being any taller than 6'1 or 6'2, in pictures with 5'4 Scarlett and 5'2 Lucy Liu (although she could have boots, but that's not the case for Scarlett). I mean, I'm 6'1.5 and my 5'4 mather is at least a inch below my chin, when she stands next to me. Never met him, though.

i think Friend's photos below of Josh with Tony Blair is the most telling. If he were a true 6'2 + he would tower over him but he doesn't. he doesn't look any taller. Blair is 5'11-6'0. no taller than bush. not much

In lucky number sleven in slippers he was as tall as Morgan freeman in dress shoes, freeman would be 191-192 in them, I think its safe to say hes 190 min, 191 more likely.
