the average guess seems very low. i think its because there is no peak and current so many give him 184 cm. i really think 186 is what he looked peak. lets say 185,8. He is taller than cavil today that could be close to 185. And there is a big chanse he have lost 0,5 cm by now

rob, Costners listing is great and doesn't need a downgrade, I'm sure Kevin's lost half an inch at 60 years old but in the 70's and 80's the guy would've had no problem scraping 6'1" on a stadiometre.

Hes a tough one to pin down. In Hidden Figures, some scenes show him a little shorter than Sheldon, in others he looks a bit taller. I'd say a tad over 6' peak, probably dips a bit under the magic 6' these days.

You cannot say definitely that a person is over a particular mark. Nothing is certain and everything is a guess. A particular person may look taller on screen but if you measure the guy he can turn out to be shorter.

The thing with Costner is he has terrible posture it's especially bad in The Bodyguard, i think that's why in some scenes he looks taller than his co-star and in other's looks shorter. If he stood up straight he'd look 2 in taller.

Editor Rob hard to say exactly but roughly around 6ft 1, probably holding the mark well, rather than dropping much under it at worst. In Hollywood he can comfortably claim 6ft 2 if he wishes and many wouldn't bat an eyelid, but saying 6ft 1 seems honest.

Dmeyer, I think he is one of those few actors on which I would be willing to bet that are legit 6'1"...
maybe today he's a small fraction under 6'1" (likely 6'0.75") but in his first movies he was for sure a strong 6'1".
dmeyer, you have any idea about the height of the actor Tomas Arana? In the bodyguard (1992) he had a role but there're few scenes where he stays next to Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston. He pass for a 6'0.5" and i think it can be reliable. What do you think?

Interesting photos, Dmeyer. Costner actually looks 186-187cm with Pine (who isn't under 6ft0½). But then in Draft Day he really struggles with 6ft1 beside Tom Welling (who Rob still insists isn't quite 6ft3).
