He claimed 6'4" on That Metal Show about a decade ago. He was never over 6'3" in his prime. In recent years his upper torso has clearly compressed and curved. In his mid-50's he appears to be no taller than 6'2" today.

Canson, a friend of mine who has had rubbish posture for years, I reckoned was maybe 6ft (could appear under it) but since doing the Alexander technique, he's got measured 6ft1⅝! Totally blew me away

@Rampage: yea possibly solid 6’3 but best case a strong 6’3 like you mentioned. I’m a strong 6’4 so I could possibly give him an inch. If he’s 6’3.25 afternoon, he could get away with claiming maybe 6’3.5 since 6’3 3/8” would be his midday. @ Berta - I thought he looked just as tall as Conan, although it's possible his footwear was a little more. If I had to guess for Bach maybe a strong 6'3" peak but I think he's likely under 6'3" today.

Conan (who I would guess at 191 - 192 cm range in person) was about the same as Baz. Baz might have been a hair taller but he might have had a footwear advantage. So I'll say a solid 191 for Baz.

Likely around 6'3.25" in his prime. His posture isn't what it used to be these days, and he may have lost a bit of height. But he was more likely a bit over 6'3" than under it back in the 80s/90s.

Standing next to 6'2" Adam Corolla - same height. I'd say peak 6'3" (he measured that tall in a mugshot taken by Springfield MA police after he was arrested, this was when he was at peak height). His posture is terrible and the weight he has gained seems to weigh him down a bit. I could see him losing an inch.

Pilson claims 5'9.5", but that's a stretch. I'd say no more than 5'9" and I don't see Bach more than maybe 7" taller. 177-178 cm George Lynch is consistently taller than him. Lynch may have been as tall as 5'10.5" peak, but Pilson was pretty consistently shorter back then and Lynch always slouches in photos. You can also compare Pilson to Dick Clark back in 1985 or Mark Wahlberg in Rock Star. He was a bit taller than both. He was always the shortest member of Dokken.
As for Skid Row, the LPs with Bach were quite good, better than a lot of bands getting signed at that time. One of those EPs they did a few years back without Bach was actually pretty good, though.

With Duff he looks exactly 6'3''. With James Hetfield, he looks 6'2'', and with Andy Biersack, he looks 6'2''. His 6'5'' claim seems unlikely, so I'm guessing his 6'3'' claim later is closer. I'm pretty sure he can be pegged at 74.75 - 75.5.

He does appear massive on the Skid Row album cover. Most of the time he does appear super tall, but I don't think he's over 6'3" in reality. Certainly doesn't look it when standing next to James Hetfield or Duff McKagan.

Editor Rob his height can certainly vary, and his footwear might make him seem taller at times. I don't know if 6ft 3.5 is right though.

I have met Bas on several occasions. As I am six feet tall myself in flat feet - I can tell you that in his boots, which add approx. two inches, Bas stands six inches taller than me. If I have to look up at a guy, it's impressive. And yes, I am female. He's tall. Very tall. And very kind.

I saw him recently in a Guns N' Roses show, he's definitely 6'3 at least, he overtowered everybody else on that stage, even with big lifts, the guy is really tall.

I know Ville Laihiala's cousin who is 191cm(6'3 1/2) and he said to me that Laihiala is few cm taller than him, so I think that Laihiala is about 195-198cm(6'5-6'6)

This is a case where the guy is fibbing about his height. I've met Bach a few times in NYC, where I waiter at bread in tribeca. He comes in a lot, usually around lunch. I'm 5''11 barefoot and really think that he's at the very least 6''6. But he always wears heel shoes, feminine ones.

He used to host a show on VH1 some years back and never looked as tall as 6'5"-6'6" on it. (the show involved him talking to various guests so I could get a good comparsion in mind) He always looked 6'3" to me. I agree with Glenn, he wears large shoes to appear taller.

I don't think he is lying about his height nor is he 6'9". He is very tall though, my brother works in the Apple Store in Manhattan and actors and celebrities like William Dafoe, Seal, Tom Welling, and Sebastian Bach come in all the time, I envy him because he can gauge heights not that he even cares, hahaha. My brother stands a shade below 6'3" during the day, but his morning height is 6'3", and he commented on Sebastian being tall which would only happen if someone was 2" or more taller than him I figured. Sebastian is also a really cool and down to earth guy I hear.
