I'm surprised they let Kane have a picture taken next to Shaq. If Kane is supposed to be 7 feet then that would make Shaq about 7,4" at least...which everyone knows he's not.
Kane does look 6,9" next to him though. I'd still give him 6,8" barefoot.

I think so as well. Unlike Andre (whose height was in flated a lot) there seems to be less concern over modern wrestling giants standing next to authentic sports stars, prolly because of the small amount of inflation todays giants get.

In my opinion the lines are very often deceptive. I agree that Khali's head
is bigger than Shaq's, but considering that Shaq's eye level is quite clearly higher I doubt that Khali's forehead can make that much of a difference.

if cm is more precise...then i would have big show at 212 cm (214cm PEAK), Shaq at the full 216 cm and Khali at 215 cm (Look at wwe.com's post of shaq and khali...khali has a bigger head, but shaq still edges him out by a cm i think.)

well basketball shoes, and anyone who is wearing them knows, they add way more than just 1 inch. thickest sole ever, plus cushion inside. put one one on 1 foot, and see teh difference. that's why many brothers wear it to make them taller... Thanks Allen4! I think (by) watching that picture it's pretty clear that Wilt didn't lose any height at least before 1993 and still was a full 2.16. If he really had shrunk to 7'0.5", then how tall was Shaq, 6'11" ? I really doubt it.

I saw a video more than 10 years ago, when Alonzo, Patrick and Dikembe went to Africa, The hight difference was excatly the same amoung them(2 niches). That puts Alonzo to 6'9, patrick to 6'11 and Dikembe at 7'1. BTW there is no way Duncan is less than 6'10

what does 1/16 of an inch matter? if two folks are within 1/2 inch of height I think it's fair to say that they are both pretty much the same height. In other words, Wilt and Shaq are the same height because 1/16 of an inch doesn't matter.

Without causing a riot regardless of all the photos and pre draft measurement I don't think its a total impossibility for Shaq to be around 6ft 11.5in average measurement,the reason I say this is my friend met him after a game and he is 6'3.5" barefoot and he came precisely up to Shaq's mouth,and no I'm not Isu Alum ha ha! They were both wearing big soled trainers.

Chris, I don't agree with measuring several different times and then taking the average. If you're going to measure someone several times and take the average then do it at the same time of day.
Shaq's pre-draft measurement was likely taken 3-4 hours after he had been up. That's good enough. I highly doubt he'd shrink a full 1.75" inches either. Maybe he's 7'1.25" or 7'1.5" out of bed and he shrinks to 7'0.25" but I doubt he's ever under that.

Even with all the photographic evidence and pre draft measurement i'm not totally convinced that this guy is a full 7' 1" barefoot. For example Michael Jordan's pre-draft measurement is 6'6" when it is a known that that he is slightly under 6'5". The same could apply to Shaq. Whichever way you look at him he is one big guy!
