Rob, do you think Steve was 6'2 in his twenties or 6'1? I think He should be list as 6'2 as peak since a lot people tend to lose to 2-3inches height as old
Editor Rob
I can see how many might think of him as 6ft 1, as he had the kind of frame that could look that tall, but for a guy like Jobs to put down 6-0 as his height, would he have lied...

R.I.P Steve Jobs.

Your estimate of Trump seems to be way off, you can see him below Tim, he is significantly taller, not the 184 and 183 you have them at.

I'd expect Cook to look shorter than trump by 1.5 inches as he's under six foot, you can see Cook with this model Here who is near 3 inches taller and claimed 6ft 2
Randy King said on 20/Nov/19
You have peeps here reporting Tim Cook at 6’3”, Steve Jobs at 6’2”, and a President Trump, on this site, at 6.5’; yet President Trump routinely appears to be two inches taller than Tim Cook -

Which begs the question, must partisanship always outweigh truth?

6 feet is too less for him, I would say he was 6’1.25” or 186 at his prime
JD 5'9" said on 26/Oct/18
He was closer to 6'1" peak. Might have been 6' flat in his later years though.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 2/Oct/18
6ft flat is still a bit low for him, IMO. Maybe 6ft0½ is closer?

I could have sworn I read somewhere that he actually said he was 6ft2

@Tod Charming

I don't buy for a second that Tim Cook is anywhere near 6'3".

Steve Jobs is 6'2. Look at him compared to "6'3" Tim Cook:

My mentor had the opportunity to work for Steve Jobs at NeXT, and he said that Steve Jobs always had the tallest personality in the room, wherever he went. I guess his natural leadership skills expressed his tall stature...

Tim Cook looks about the same as Steve Jobs did, so somewhere in the neighbourhood of 6'0.

Binaur said on 21/May/18
Tim Cook's height is probably 175cm. Rob can you please give a conclusion about Tim's height?
Editor Rob
Cook is taller than Bill gates, so I think he's got to be nearer 6ft than 5ft 9!

Hi Rob,
Can we do a page for Tim Cook?
Great man, but a bit annoyed by Google's 6'3" specification.
I got a source here: Click Here
The focus of the article here is Cook and a Singaporean artist, JJ Lin.
JJ Lin (met him myself, I'm 5 8 flat, he seems around the same height) is one of the biggest stars in the Taiwanese pop industry. Due to his "artist" status, he is mostly focused on producing good music and less on personality and looks (never dyed his hair). Therefore, I could deduce that Lin is not wearing lifts. Even if he is, there still does not seem to be a 7 inch. disparity between Lin and Cook.

Im also very curious about Tim Cook's height. But Steve Jobs looks 187cm for me. But Tim Cook is really a mystery. Google says he is 6'3, but in pictures he looks short. So is there anybody who knows Tim cook 's height?

But what is tim cook's height? Is he really 1.90 cm? Can you maybe do a page for Tim Cook?
Conan said on 22/Mar/18
I don't understand that why did Google listed him at 6 f 2 in (188 cm) meanwhile he is just 6 ft (183 cm) If that I'm 5 ft 9 3/4 in (177 cm) so I can claim that I'm 5 ft 11 1/2 in (182 cm). Google tell lie to everyone

Rob, do you think a quarter inch over 6 ft would be fair based on the average guess?
Editor Rob
it could be argued...he was described as 6ft in a few books, and he claimed it....but then being a fraction over, some folk will drop it, others take liberty and round up to 6ft 1.

I've never met Steve Jobs but definitely saw him several times on California Avenue in Palo Alto, CA. On a couple of different occsions, he was exiting a Japanese restaurant called Jin Sho.

In any case, I can say that near the end of his life, he still retained his look. Svelte and tall, but I'd estimate he lost an inch or so. Looked closer to 5'11", but that's to be expected.
MrTBlack said on 26/Jan/16
Thought 6'1" but definitely an honest 6'0er which is rare in today's old.
Panda said on 20/Sep/15
I still stand by my original estimate that Jobs was more 184 cm tall. Any taller is unlikely. I personally think he should be upgraded to 6'0.25" (184 cm), yeah I feel like this (184 cm) is a fair estimate for him. Strong 6 footer for sure.
WAF said on 9/Aug/15
I thought this site was about documenting the self-reported height of people as well as trying to estimate their height.

If that is the goal, it shouldn't matter that Jobs was content with being 6'0", if it is more likely that he was some other height.

I think Jobs was in the 6'0"-6'0.5" range. Conservatively, I would give him 6'0.25".
Panda said on 17/Feb/15
I still think there's a good chance that Jobs was 6'0.5" (184 cm.) tall, after all he looked to be 3 inches taller than 5'9.5" (177 cm.) Bill Gates. It seems pretty likely that Jobs was that height but due to the fact that he had to round on the questionnaire he may have rounded down simply because he didn't care about his height. However, like you said Rob, if he had no problem with being 6'0" (and 6'0" seems pretty accurate for him anyway) so be it.

My thoughts exactly. He always struck me as being a lanky 6ft2-3 guy like Kutcher. Taking height out of the equation, I'm stunned by the resemblance. Everything from the shape of his nose to his facial tics echo the great man. Kutcher is definitely THE guy to play Jobs.

i remember that years ago i read an article on web which claimed that the "managers height" is 6'2", because a lot of CEO's are 6'2" tall...he mentioned also Steve Jobs among those managers.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 4/Feb/15

He looked like a six footer, no more than that. He was a genius probably. He achieved incredible things in different fields. But after reading Isaacson´s biography I´d rather be an ordinary guy as I am.

Except some people called Jobs a genius and, uh, no one's ever accused Kutcher of being one. Definitely looks a six footer with Gates.

If that's true, I'm shocked. Honestly, I always though he was 6ft2-and never had a doubt about it, he seemed very tall in keynotes.

it's not a question of 'if it's true' :)

It is true, the fbi Showed the documents a while ago, from page 8 on that link.

the data is from a Questionnaire for Sensitive Positions. It's his own data...he's typed it on the Questionnaire, questions about who he is, where he's lived, what position he has etc...

Steve being around 6ft 1in sounds around right.
Theres a picture of him and john mayer (a legit 6ft 3in) and he looks maybe around 2 inches shorter.

not impossible but Jobs himself seemed content with 6ft.

I don't believe the 6'0" listing tbh. However I don't believe 6'2" either. I'm pretty sure Steve Jobs was actually 6'0.5"/6'1" (184 cm.)/(185 cm.). The FBI most likely might have rounded down so 6'0.5" for Steve Jobs (about 6'1").
Jack said on 9/Mar/14
6'0'5"(184 cm).
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 12/Dec/13

The biography by Walter Isaacson cites that Steve's adoptive father was over six foot in height when young.
There's a picture of both together in that very book, it's 1997 and Steve's wedding, he's an inch taller than his father. Had his father shrunk by then or was he little under the 6' mark on his youth.
