Prob 6’3 and change peak 6’3 today

Probably around flat 6'3 today.

@ Miss Sandy Cowell,

What's funny is 5'10" Mike Tyson actually has bigger hands. Proportionally Tyson's hands are massive as is his bone structure for a man of average height.
Miss Sandy Cowell said on 22/Apr/22
Look at the size of Buster’s fist - it’s HUGE!

6ft3.25. 👊
Canson said on 5/Mar/22
@Editor Rob: wasn’t he listed 6’3,25 before?
Editor Rob
he's been on this mark since the start.
Jordan87 said on 31/Aug/21
If he fixed his posture, his eye level would be nearly 5'10.
OriginalAnon said on 17/Feb/21
Christian, I think he's in the ballpark of 6'3.5" next to Rob, if he straightens himself out. 189cm is definitely too low for that photo. For someone who has ballooned up and down in weight, he has maintained his height well.
Hotpots said on 25/Jul/20
6-3 prime imo
viper said on 26/May/20
He looks more 6-2.5 than just the 6-2 I originally thought.

And yeah, his posture is off
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 24/May/20
@OriginalAnon
He's not 6'3.5" next to Rob though.
OriginalAnon said on 18/Apr/20
6'3.5" prime and still around that mark today. He is definitely not as low as 190.5cm.

@Rampage: agreed

More 6ft3 flat today I reckon

Tyson is 5’10” and it’s safe to say he is 5” taller than Tyson. I don’t know about Douglas and Holyfield though.

Anyone have an opinion on that

Interesting....when Douglas fought I only saw him ever listed as 6'4" - and checking available vision on YouTube that's still the only listing I can see. Looking further I see there are 6'3.5" listings here and there but 6'4" seems the more common listing.

Was he a full 6'4" or a touch under as this listing suggests? Just some vision for ref. - Douglas facing off with Berbick prior to their match - Click Here. In the vision Berbick is listed as 6'3" - well, no way was Berbick that tall.

Berbick was usually listed as either 6'2.5" or 6'2" back in the day. IMO, Berbick was the latter - 6'2" flat - even so, I think Douglas looks to have a 2" height advantage. And agree with Big T - Tucker was obviously taller than Douglas as per their fight.
Big T said on 22/Jan/19
Rob, Douglas’s fight with Tony Tucker is on YouTube and it’s pretty obvious that Tucker is taller. Perhaps you should consider a peak height listing for Tucker as for whatever reason he has obviously lost more height than his contemporaries, despite not looking in bad shape.

Tucker fought Lennox Lewis and Buster Douglas and must have been a good 6’4” based on comparisons with those 2

He gotta be losing at least 1 cm in posture here... between 6'2.75 and 6'3 1/8.
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 13/Jan/19
@Peter

6'2.75"-6'3" is my guess too.
Peter 180cm said on 11/Jan/19
I'm not seeing anymore than 189-190cm honestly.6'2.75 is my best guess, at most 6'3.
Myself said on 25/Dec/18
@Christian
Yeah, upon "examination" i got 189 cm.
Looks legit 6'3, posture taken into account. Although i don't understand why Rob doesn't give him peak-current height if he believes Buster looked 6'3-6'3.25 range.
Rising - 174 cm said on 25/Dec/18
That line is a tremendous help so yeah, I have to agree with Christian. About a 6.5" difference so about 6'3" standing straight looks about right. Don't know about peak. I've had Hogan 6'5"-6'5.5" range for a while now too, but did Hulk have a footwear advantage?
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 24/Dec/18
@Rob

That's a solid 6.5 inches between the top of your head and that line. But Buster has a slight postural disadvantage.
PAN BERRY said on 23/Dec/18
6’3.5” at 192 cm I’ll give him that
Canson said on 23/Dec/18
@Rising Christian and Sakz: I could see 6’3” but not higher. I actually believed 6’3.5 before peak but I do agree with Christian that 6’3 would look right next to Hogan. Hogan was a strong 6’5” peak more than likely as opposed to solid that being the case. Douglas looks similar (if he stood straight) to how Larry Holmes would look with Rob as I’ve never doubted Holmes being 6’3” nor Foreman being 6’3”. I think he’s similar to them
Andrea said on 22/Dec/18
Where would you guess the top of his head at in the photo, Rob?
Editor Rob
I would expect roughly close to this line Click Here.
Gman39 said on 22/Dec/18
Interestingly, Buster may actually be taller than Hulk Hogan today, it would be close..
Sakz said on 22/Dec/18
@Rising - 174 cm Yeah pretty much. On an average sized head that would be around 6 inches but on Buster it's around 7, which is why 6'2 wouldn't be possible.
Rising - 174 cm said on 21/Dec/18
Yeah, I thought Rob reached higher on Buster's head at first, but he's actually just a little above the tip of his nose and with Buster tilting his head down somewhat, I'd think that's 6'3". That's why I thought around 6'3" in the photo.
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 21/Dec/18
@Canson

I don't know if he was as much as 6'3.5" peak, because that would put Hogan at 6'6" or at least near it, when you have him at 6'5"-6'5.25"
Canson said on 20/Dec/18
@Jordan87: I don’t rule out a full 6’3.5 peak. Even if he’s 6’3” flat today or was he would’ve been more 6’3.75 out of bed
Sakz said on 20/Dec/18
@viper Also keep in mind he's got a bigger head than the average person so what would be 6 inches on an average head size (near the tip of the nose) would be around 7 inches on Buster.
Jordan87 said on 19/Dec/18
@ CHristian,

Not sure about a measured figure being mentioned ever. He was listed at 6'3.5" and 6'4" at certain times. I can tell you that his picture with Rob Puts him at the very least around 6'3" in his prime, he would have probably broken the 6'3 mark in the Early hrs of a day.
Sakz said on 19/Dec/18
@Canson That could be the case but I mean purely based on how he's standing above with the lean, he's dropping height so of course he looks well below 6'3. Standing up straight Rob would probably be just below his nose so that's not 6 inches equating him to 6'2.
6'2.75 is the lowest I'd put him at if he was stood straight.
Christian said on 19/Dec/18
@viper

Was Buster ever measured? I don't see any info of him being measured anywhere.
VelikiSrbinn said on 18/Dec/18
Is this a peak height? because he looks an inch shorter than this in the pic with you
Canson said on 17/Dec/18
@Sakz: I’ll give Viper credit here. A heavy guy like Buster may not stand at his best so he may lose more than average
Canson said on 17/Dec/18
@Viper: I think at his peak he would be 6’3 and change. He looked taller than Holmes or Foreman imho. Maybe not 6’3.5 but 6’3.25- 3/8 maybe
Canson said on 17/Dec/18
@Viper: I think at his peak he would be 6’3 and change. He looked taller than Holmes or Foreman imho
RP said on 15/Dec/18
Peak; 6’3.5”
Current: 6’3”
100%
Gman39 said on 15/Dec/18
Remember guys, Rob is a strong 5'8. Buster looks 6'3 easy here and I believe it if Rob says he is 6'3.5
viper said on 15/Dec/18
The 6-3.5 could be an early morning measurement
Sakz said on 15/Dec/18
@viper He's leaning so you have to account for that. Standing up straight he'd be around 6'3 give or take a fraction.
Christian 6'5 3/8 said on 14/Dec/18
@viper

He doesn't look 6'2". He has a bigger head that the average guy and he's tilting his head down some. He doesn't look as tall as 6'3.5", but not 6'2" either. I'd say in between at 6'2.75".

@Rob

Should he get a 6'3" listing then?
Editor Rob
6ft 3-3.25 is possible if he was measured with 6ft 3.5 in his 30's being likely...but you never know, he might not have lost much at all.
Canson said on 14/Dec/18
@Rob: maybe a peak 6’3.5 and a current 6’3”? I can believe he is 6’3” if he stands straight but 6’3.5 today may be a lot
viper said on 14/Dec/18
Rob's head is above the tip of his nose and it's just below his eyes. That's usually 6 inches.

He looks 6-2. Don't see the 6-3
Canson said on 14/Dec/18
He hardly looks 6’3 with Rob let alone 6’3.5. That’s not to say that he isn’t 6’3 however. Rob has had several pics with celebs where they look shorter than they are. I don’t believe he’s 6’3.5 though. 6’3” tops
Mickie said on 13/Dec/18
I agree he looks a little less here, but I could see him standing a bit poorer and having lost a touch of height too. I can buy 6'3.5" peak, although it's possible could've just been 6'3" or 6'3.25" I guess.
RP said on 13/Dec/18
At age 58 & with significant weight gain. He probably needs a peak & current height listing.
IMO:
Peak: 6’3-1/2”
Current: 6’3”
However, he’s not standing with good posture in this pic & is sorta leaning into 5’8” & change Rob. So, with perfect posture in person he could still pull off 6’3-1/2”...Rob, we really need your personal input on this one. After just meeting him in person.
Editor Rob
I think he still looked about 6ft 3 that day
Nik said on 13/Dec/18
I certainly think he is over 6'3", Buster's listing is fine in my opinion!
Davidbear said on 13/Dec/18
Hi Rob could you create a page for Dillian Whyte? What height do you see him as? Possibly 6'2.5?
Editor Rob
Whyte looks at most 6ft 3
Jordan87 said on 13/Dec/18
If you Straighten him out a bit ( He is loosing some posture with Rob) His eye level would be at around 5'9". Normally that would be around a guy who is 6'1.25 but he is definitely taller than that.

Hard to tell with his Hat but not sure if he is over 6'3 here. He is leaning.
Andrea said on 13/Dec/18
As always, it's hard to tell with the hat, but considering that he seems to have a quite big head, I can see him near 6'3 in the photo...
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 13/Dec/18
Maybe he was taller peak, but around 190cm today.
Bwk said on 12/Dec/18
He just looks a flat 6'3'' here, maybe a hair or so at most. I'm not seeing 6'3.5''
Rising - 174 cm said on 12/Dec/18
@Rob: Another good boxing photo! Granted, I always think of the long count with Tyson in round 8. Dramatically changed boxing in the 90's and boxing history forever. Back on topic, tough to say with the hat, but I could see pretty close to 6'3" here since I think he has a pretty big head and he doesn't looking to be standing as tall as he could. Is 6'3.5" just a peak guess or did he still look it? You could see he towered Tyson before their fight.
RP said on 12/Dec/18
Rob, was Buster still holding a strong 6’3-1/2” now in 2018 when he stood straight up? This confirmation should destroy all off the Sub-6’5” peak Hulk Hogan comments. This proves that peak Hulk Hogan was “over” 6’5” !!!!!

I can't think of a more appropriate career for a guy who names himself Buster - that of Boxing! It's also rather popular for dogs - and I bet they are Boxer dogs too!

I can credit 6ft3.5 for Buster!
