An anti-Trump faux "Wanted" poster lists Obama at 6'1.25" I wondered if they averaged the two WH measurements to reach that figure? I actually do think it could be closer than a flat 6'1", at least for peak...yes, I said "peak". If you look at his face(and hair!) in 2008 vs. 2017, the guy has aged tremendously, as do most two-term POTUSes...though in Barack's case, I think it might be an all-time extreme! I have no probably believing that at a relatively young age he has dropped 1/4 or even 1/2 an inch, despite being otherwise athletic and physically fit.

I'd agree he has maybe a cm on Trump in footage/pics but it'd be interesting to see what the difference would be when measured. At 70 your posture worsens and so called hidden height comes into it, they might actually measure very close to one another.

I think obama could easily claim to be at least 6 2. If trump gets away calling himself 6 3 then obama is taller than trump and should be marked at 6 4 in fact. He is certainly one of the tallest 6 1s i have ever seen. So i honestly think around 6 2 is fine. I think its fair to say most people his height call themselves 6 2 and pass for it. In shoes with a bit of hair i think he would touch the 6 3 mark comfortably and even just brush past it.

Rob, I met Mitt Romney today (he's a month short of 70 years old). I'd say he's definitely between 184 and 186. A friend of mine is 188 and is clearly taller than Romney. I'd say 187-188 peak, 185 now.

I don't think he is 6'1 in a photo next to Kevin Costner he is clearly shorter, although Costner is closer to the camera he is still quite a bit taller, if Costner is 6'1 then Obama is not.

I sometimes wonder if he has special shoes for certain occasions. Sometimes when officially photographed with other people, he seems to tilt forward a bit. Interestingly both him and his wife are usually impeccably turned out with cuts that favour their proportions. While they certainly have stylists and tailors that help them get the best out of a ceap dress, so much for shopping at cheaper stores, people who are concerned about their heigth should really take notice.

I don't know how accurate the wax figures height at Madame Tussaud are, I'm 5'10.25" barefoot and his wax figure at Madame Tussaud Amsterdam was AT LEAST 4 INCHES taller than me, I was wearing some fairly low boots, maybe 1 inch boost from barefoot height.
Brad Pitt's figure was also 2 inches taller than me. Are those wax figures height correct?

I met him in person 7 years ago. He was a really tall, imposing guy. Standing at 6ft I had to really look up to him.In a crowd of dozens of people he was easily one of the tallest guys- only 2 of his bodyguards were taller. And not by much, an inch tops!
And I downgraded him BTW-he claims 191 cm while I think he's closer to 190 cm mark.

185 cm is spot on. He seems to be quite same in height as Fredrik Reinfeldt if you look at the photos of them together (I doubt Fredrik is 188 cm tall, more likely 186 cm).

I don't get that impression from him, at all. He regularly doesn't stand his full height in pictures, though he doesn't slouch. If a leader is significantly shorter, in fact, he often bends at the waist. It's actually kind of awkward, because most folks just slouch if they want to look shorter.

Editor Rob I believe the weight measurement was shoes, but the height measurement would have been without. He looks too tall to be only a six footer, usually he looks an honest 6ft 1.
