I've watched an absurd amount of Craig's interviews and seen him with so many people. I'm quite comfortable saying it's impossible he's as low as a flat 6'0 or as tall as 6'3. But also that the only time I've heard him claim 6'3, I think he did it for comic effect, because of how the interview began, playing off of Gwendoline Christie who was in serious heels, lording it over him, in addition to being a giant of a female when not in heels. I think he may have peaked as high as just over 6'2 in the Drew Carey years and have heard him say he was 6'2 a few times before I think. He always looks tall to me. When he says 6'2, he may be rounding up slightly these days at 55. 6'1.5 doesn't seems like a fair enough listing. Seeing him next to Morgan Freeman, Hugh Laurie, Jeff Goldblum, multiple times, I have to assume 6'1 or 6'2 is accurate enough.

Craig was easily 6'2" in his prime. His posture these days is rather poor, and he wears lifts a lot, but when he does stand straight, he can probably still get 0.5" under his peak height. As for normal slouched height, I'd say he's between 6'1" and 6'1.25".

You've stated your own height at 5ft8 and whenever you stand next to 6ft1 / 6ft2 celebs, the height difference isn't significant (as you stand next to circa 6ft1 Avery Brooks, for example). To be fair, he can look a fraction over 6'1 if Jeff Goldblum is 6'4... But then again Jeff could be a bit under 6'4 nowadays. When he was younger he looked at least 6'4, though. Still Craig is only 52, half an inch is quite a big loss for him, i mean, he is not a wrestler or something! Always a chance he "was" a strong 185 and now a bit under it, though. And yeah, he has no idea of how tall a real 6'3 is! Put him next to a Tom Welling, who claims "almost 6'3" and i'd like to see if he'd still claim "6'3" with a straight face!

Nah, he was close enough to 6'2" imo. Many legit tall men are barely taller than him. 6'3" is out of the question.

Remember Andrea that Gwendoline is a very solid 6'3" and is in 5 inch heels there by her own profession. Now they wouldn't give her a full 5 inches perhaps but I'd assume she's near 6 ft 7 in them. Ferguson in my opinion manages to look a weak 6'2" there but he also has generous footwear so around 6'1" seems about right. I don't think she seriously thinks he's 5'10, sometimes a lot of the gags on his shows seem rehearsed. It's just a clear "You're NOT 6 ft 3" thing.

Editor Rob with a long foot she has more chance of a bigger gain than your average women, I could believe there's a 2.5 inch advantage in footwear. I'd say he is roughly near her eyelevel. I wouldn't argue he looked over 6ft 1 there.

I used to think he was a solid 6'2", and then I saw 6'0.5" Chris Pine on this show, Friday night, and they were closer in height than I expect. I wouldn't be surprised if he's now a flat 6'1". He's definitely not shorter than that, though.

I think Dylan Moran is 5'11, at least that is what he is most commonly listed, and Craig looked roughly 5-6 cm taller. If you met him and thought he looked a good 5'11.5 or thereabouts, he can be 5'11-5'11.5 range, as you can't say for sure whether he's spot on 5'11 or spot on 5'11.5 by just standing next to someone. You can get a certain range, whiting 2 cm or so, but unless you took a picture with him, you can't be entirely sure.
For example when I met Kristofer Hivju twice in the last year (Norwegian actor who's on Game Of Thrones), we didn't see eye to eye. I had to look up a bit, and I noticed the top of his head was a bit higher than mine, so I know he was a good couple cms taller than myself (I'm 5'11). It could have been around half an inch, or the full inch and some fractions from what I could tell. I didn't get a picutre, so I can't be sure, that's why I can only assume he's 182-184 cm range, and for sure no shorter than 182.

He is hard to judge. When he was next to the late michael clarke duncan who is listed as 6 foot 5. I could see about 3 inch difference. Craig is a solid 186cm and michael clark duncan is a solid 193cm.

Duchovny at 6' is one of the rare downgrades for an actor. He looks like he'd measure about 6'1" in his barefeet. Ferguson I have to admit rarely looks over 6'1" next to guests we know the legit height off.

Hugh didn't appear to be taller at all, so there's no way there's even a 0.5" difference, unless Craig was wearing a much higher heel, which seem doubtful.

I have seen too many people on his show that are listed at 6'2" and he (Craig) always appears shorter. What really caught my eye, is when Alec Baldwin (not a natural six footer)appeared about an inch or 2 shorter than Craig. Craig is probably closer to 6'1".

this may be the best talk show on which to currently base height, since the (suits i imagine at CBS) changed the opening so he has to walk out and greet each guest, so you get a much better guage than on letterman (who is usually up on the platform and its hard to tell often-times lol) . everything lately seems to add up to about 6-1 and change, based on the heighth comparisens.

Yes, I would put him right on par with Letterman. I believe they both claim to be 6-2 but seem to be a bit under (though Letterman may have been 6-2 peak). Ferguson looks shorter than most truely tall guests (6-3+), but he's definitely over 6-1.

In a recent show with Allison Janney (she is 6 feet and was wearing high heels of about 6 cm) he was still a bit taller than her. So I think 187/188 is quite right.

Okay, this is a detour to what the posts on this site are about, but Mr. R., I'm an aspiring screenwriter. Is it like feeding a Tic Tak to a whale in terms of getting a break in Hollywood as a screenwriter? And just out of curiousity, what's like living in glitzy Hollywood? I'm a native of Connecticut so I'm sure it would be pretty foreign to me! :-)

May I add that, with all due respect to the hilarious Craig Kilborn, I do enjoy the Late Late Show a little bit more now than Fergie has taken over. However, as much as I enjoy his humour and the class that comes along with it, I also seem to be his biggest critic as far as height goes. Virtually every guest I've seen him with, he just looks like more of a 6'1" guy every time I see him. Sorry Rob, he just doesn't strikingly TALL! Now granted he is still tallish, like me, but I think that I guy can truely call himself tall when he's at the 6'2" mark (this is minimum height for many a Tall People's Club for men) and Fergie just doesn't look it. Again I think he's a great funnyman who also carries himself with a lot of class, but one thing Kilborn had on him was the height. He just doesn't quite look 6'2", maybe somebody else enjoys the show as much as I do out there!
