If he's really in the 180.5 - 181 cm range at night then he's pretty much identical to me. It's always kind of interesting to see photos of celebs very close in height to me (or at least in my height range) so I can sort of see how I might appear to other people.
Also, on a side note I've seen some of his films recently and he's a very good actor. Really enjoyed the movies I've seen him in.

He's most likely around a strong 5'10 at evening/night. With Conan he stood upright. He didn't overdo it, but you gain only mm doing that anyway. Measured about 5'10.5. Conan gave him 5'11 which is a bit of a strech but still ok. imho. Wakes up at 5'11, maybe a few mm's more.

Jake's real height is not what was listed on the Conan O' Brien show. Conan O' Brien show is filmed in the late afternoon 4pm. People shrink almost an nch throughout the day. Now he was measured incorrectly with the tape measure to the side. Even if the tape measure to the side shows he is 5' 10.5 does not mean he was that height on the show. Its an optical illusion. The proper and most accurate way to measure is back to the wall. Hands to your side feet together head straight neck straight. He n the morning is most likely 5' 11.5 closer to 6'. Never ever take a tape measure and measure your height with the tape beside you. Although it may appear the tape measure is higher than your head it is in fact level.

In that clip, the mark was at 5'11and in the distance shot, despite the swaying and twisting of the metal meaure, jake looked 0.5-0.75 inches under this mark in an casual stance however, since the measure was not dead straight and was twisted this will compensate for his casual stance. When i judged earlier at 5'10.75 that was due to my belief the measure mark was on 5'11.3 and did not consider that Jake's head was slightly tilted up nor did consider the twist and sway of the metal measure strip thus, Conan got a bit wrong when he stated 5'11.

Anything below 179cm(5'10.5") is just plain ridiculous, and he was willing to get measured, which only further proves that he hit the mark or close to it at the doctor's office in the morning. After watching the conan video it seems that he measures at 5'9.5. It could be the camera angle that makes it look that way but thats what I saw. He does have the build of a 5'10 guy though. He could actually be 5'11.25 though he just appears more of a 5'10 guy, 5'9 very minimum.

The Conan measurement wasn't exactly what we could call "accurate" but he definitely seemed under 5'11'' there, probably 5'10.5'' at most.

What's with all the debate here? Jake said he was 5'11.5" and was willing to go on a talk show in socks and be measured. Watching the video he was also clearly surprised to be called 5'11" and was quick to point out his hair is adding height when Conan said 6'0".

The nurse said I measured 5'6.5, now i've measured my self with a book against the wall several times at 5'7.75 in the evening and 5'7.5 at night (I wake up at a hair over 5'8), and even had my friend measure me and he measured 5'7.5 and this is the most accurate way of measuring height. The tool they used was like a ruler on the wall but like 6 inches off the ground.

the funniest thing happened to me today , I was at the Dr only 2 hours up , The nurse took my height , short girl about 4'10 , She told me , " you are 65 inches , about 5'5 " . I laughed then looked for myself and it cleary showed me closer to 5'6 1/2.

Maybe it had a taller cast of actors. Some actors can appear tall even with a taller cast though. Kit Harington is only 5'7ish and always appears tall on GOT even against a tall cast. Editor Rob you really need 3-4 hours to get a good chunk of your morning height, but you could lie down 2-3 hours and easily get a half inch back.

he doesn't have a short eyelevel, the average for a 5ft 11 man is a little more than the average, so roughly 4.7 range.

He would probably measure a little higher than 5'11" on a stadiometer. The tape measure would undercut it a little as it can't measure the highest point of your head.

Editor Rob for me, I can't believe he'd measure 179 range, it doesn't add up from what even Conan saw, he had a pretty good perspective being 6ft 5 in shoes there so his eyes were in a better position than the camera.

I took a look at Conan's measurements, he looked exactly 5'10. Which is not short! But almost exactly 70 inches. I don't know how Conan got the extra 1.5 inches. If you watch closely to when he placed his hand on top of his head to flatten his hair, you count from the bottom of the fingers not the top and he is clearly either 5'10 flat or in the 5'10 range. He needs a downgrade Rob.

Saw Conan last night when he pulled out the tape measure. It looked like 5ft 9 1/2-5ft10 tops. The man has a lot of hair. Conan said 5ft 11 but it was easy to see that's not the correct measurement. Press the hair down and he was in the 5'9"-5'10" range.

Rob, you honestly see him over 5'11''? There is plenty evidence that he can look even as short as 177cm. I think a 5'10.5'' or at best a 5'11'' listing would be better.

177-178cm guy is right on. In Nightcrawler he is shorter than Bill Paxton by a wide margin. Almost a 2 inch difference. Even with shoes Jake is not 6 foot.

It's pretty clear to me that he's not as short as 5'8", and even 5'9" seems too short. But, given the pictures I showed of him with 6'2" Chris Pratt, it's really hard to see this guy as much above 5'10". Even 5'11" is looking too much. 5'11.5", then, is just ridiculous.

After listening to the mystery show podcast and looking at the photographic evidence on this site, I'm simply not convinced that he's 5'11.5" I'd say he has an absolute max height of 5'11" However I believe it more likely that he's somewhere in the range of 5'10"-5'11"
