He does not look too short close to 7 foot Steven Adams so he is definitely in the 6ft3 range or very solid 6ft2 like me.

@Shane and Rob: a normal low for him is likely 6’2.25 with 6’3” out of bed. I don’t even lose a full inch at a normal low and I’m taller than he is. Same with Christian he loses roughly what I do and he’s an inch taller at 6’5 3/8
said on 20/Mar/19
@Rob so you are suggesting a 6'3" guy shrinking an inch by afternoon which would lead him to possibly shrinking 1.5 inches by nightfall or after a game? I mean it is remotely possibly but its usually guys who are at least 6'7" or more who compress 1.5 inches or more. I just see that as being highly unlikely. Thanks for the feedback and analysis as always.
All I'm saying is if I give Russell 6ft 2.5, then out of bed he has a chance of 6ft 3.5
said on 20/Mar/19
@Rob how on earth do you have have him at possibly 6'3 1/2 out of bed barefoot? That would mean he hit a good growth spurt after 2 years of college. Highly unlikely. He was measured 6'2 1/4 in afternoon of 2008. That would be a 1.25 inch compression by afternoon so basically you are suggesting he could compress up to a good 1.75 inches by nightfall which would be super rare for a 6'3" guy to do. 6'3" out of bed may be possible as 3/4" compression by afternoon is certainly possible. Some do that.
If he's 6ft 2.5 then he might hit 6ft 3.5 out of bed.

That’s because lillard isn’t 6’3”. Russ is over 2” shorter than 6’4.75 Kobe Bryant

@Canson who were you talking with when you said "you d prob edge him by half inch"? To me or viper?
Canson said on 9/Mar/19
@Viper: that may be his extreme low. But I’d say a normal low is likelier to be 6’2/6’2.25 than 6’2.5 or 6’3”. Out of bed prob 6’3 and 6’2.25 at a low 6’2 extreme low. You’d prob edge him by half inch

So rob, after all, what is your guess on russel's absolute lowest ever recorded,at night after a bball match?
could still fall to 6ft 2.25
said on 17/Feb/19
Dear Rob,excuse me if I m writing a bit on this page, but I d really like to know your opinion about russ, since he s one of my favourite sportsmen.
As I wrote below I measure about 191.25 cm out of bed,and I am a hair over 189 cm at night.
Do you think that me and russell could be height twin? If not,who do you think would slightly edge the other?
Sorry if I'm asking again, but I'd really appreciate to know your thoughts about it,Rob.
You could be...I think if you photographed barefoot together, most people would struggle to tell you apart, unless you had a very huge head or small head.
said on 7/Feb/19
Dear rob, excuse me for the question, but I guarantee that this is the last one:Do you think that Russel has grown since his draft mesurement?
Here is a pic of the draft day, where he was almost 20,and he looks a good inch shorter than the 191 cm measured oj Mayo
What do you think about it?
Yeah he seems like he might be near 188-189 range at most there, but maybe he has lost a fraction just going a bit wider on his stance, it might knock a little bit off him.
said on 3/Feb/19
Dear rob what is your guess on russels out of bed/absolute lowest height?
In addition to that what do you think of these pics next to djokovic and ronaldo?
Over 6ft 3 out of bed looks likely, maybe 6ft 3.5. With Ronaldo he looks no less than 189cm range, although with Novak the angles and postures are a bit more tricky.
Canson 194 said on 20/Jan/19
@Christian: the most I could buy seeing him next to Caron Butler or Carmelo Anthony is 189cm. But I think 6’2.25 is spot on. They mentioned 2008 pre drafts were afternoon measurements. That’s not to say that all guys measured at a low but he looks like he’s close to that on the court. He looks roughly the same size as Jarrett Jack as well
said on 19/Jan/19
Dear Rob,whats your thought about this video of russell next to jimmy fallon?
I measure about 191.25 cm out of bed and a hair over 189 cm before bed ... could i be russel s height twin?
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 11/Jan/19
He was measured at 6'2.25" or 188.6cm, so no.
Canson said on 11/Jan/19
@Junior: they say 08 was PM and 09 was AM. I think 189 is appropriate tho although it’s max I could buy since he and Rose are the only two of the contemporaries at PG that look their barefoot heights. 6’2.25 and 6’1.5 imho. The others like Curry and Lillard etc are morning and a bit off for lillard.
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 11/Jan/19
If Westbrook is 189cm at his low then he would have grow 1/2 taller since drafted measurement at 6'2.25" which is an A.M height. Honestly sometimes he can pull off 6'2 3/4 other time doe look like 6'2 1/2 is believable. I won't go back my previous at 6'2 guessing it seem too low. Maybe 6'2.25" for his lowest measurement.
Canson said on 9/Jan/19

He looks 6-2 max with Kobe.

he looks 5 cm taller than 185 cristiano Ronaldo
said on 22/Dec/18
@Rob: at times he can look 6’2 to be honest. While others maybe 6’2.5-.75. I think the original listing was adequate enough being it may not have been a low to begin with and the extra 1/4” growth would still fit
From all I've seen, I think a full 189 isn't unreasonable.
said on 20/Dec/18
Rob, he seems to have grown a couple of centimeters since he entered to the league. Nowadays he looks taller and overall physically bigger than 6ft 2,75 measured at the combine John Wall. Wall who is listed at 6ft 4 and 210 pounds by the NBA. My guess is that he wakes up at around 6ft 3,5 and goes to bed at around 6ft 2,75 (on easy days) and on a game day he goes to bed at worst at 6ft 2,5. What are your thoughts about it Rob?
At times he has looked close to 190cm, so it's not impossible. I think the 2.5 is probably the low range he generally seems to look.

I am really struggling to comprehend this photo of Westbrook with 6’ 1/2” listed TJ Perenara
Westbrook only looks 6” shorter than Steven Adams (listed 7 foot, apparently measured 6’ 10.75”) and he’s at LEAST 5” taller than Perenara. Either way, it’s consistent with Russ being about 6’5!
If you go through the 3 photos in the sequence, TJ looks pretty consistently 5” shorter and the most I can see between Adams and Westbrook is 7”, and that’s generous to Adams
The only wildcard is that Westbrook’s shoes look enormous. Obviously he isn’t balling in lifts, but maybe he wears unusually heavily padded/cushioned shoes?
Looking through Perenara’s other photos, he’s obviously overlisted but I can’t see him under 5’10”. I guess at a stretch Westbrook might be 4.5” taller with a big footwear advantage, and Adams is just a really tall guy with bad posture?
Canson said on 27/Nov/18
@James: that’s the most I could give him too. Lowest maybe 188-188.5. Doubt he’s under a full 6’2” if not a hair over perhaps even at a low. 6’2.25 is very possible

Favorite basketball player. Rob do you think he grew an inch since the 2008 draft camp because in sneakers he looks the same height as 6’ 5” James Harden?
It was possible he gained a bit...as he could look taller than his measured height.
Canson said on 30/Oct/18
I believe the 6’10” with shoes that he claimed. However a strong 6’10” more than likely. 6’11” in the morning in shoes easily

@Makks and Rob: Booker’s barefoot measurement was supposedly 6’4 1/2 when he was drafted. I have a hard time believing that. He honestly looks sub 6’4 at times but if Rob were to list him here, a solid 6’4” may be a better fit and we could argue from there especially since a guy measuring around that 6’4.5 mark very early in the morning is going to be around 6’4” afternoon. I think he looks 6’3.5-.6’4 really (at times)

6ft 6 barefoot I don't think he looks.
Canson said on 9/Sep/18
@Junior: it specifies that 08 combined was afternoon and went to morning in 09. That doesn’t mean Russ measured at a low but he looks similar to Carmelo Anthony in terms of measurement as Melo looked within 1/4” of his when I met him. I suspect that Russ could be as tall as 6’2.25 but no less than 6’2”. He’s got Mo Cheeks in the pic I posted but Cheeks was listed 6’1” meaning prob not
Canson said on 7/Sep/18
@Junior: I think you may be right. Mo Cheeks is not over 6’0” and that’s hardly 2” between them. Goes to show that guys like Damian Lillard aren’t as tall as advertised. One guy posted here that Lillard is the same height as he is (5’11.5). They also claimed to have measured Derek Fisher 6’1.75 and he’s not over 6’0” either maybe even 5’11” range too
said on 7/Sep/18
Looks max 6’2 with 6’0” (listed 6’1”) Maurice Cheeks
6’2.5 is too much. His 6’3” that he claims is in shoes
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 6/Sep/18
Go by logic. 6-7am measurement at 6'2 1/4 Russ should be 6'1.75" lowest but he grew a 1/4 so a solid 6'2 at low for Russ. Curry i could believe 6'1 1/2 now. Someone claim Damian Lillard is only 5'11 1/2 on Stephen Curry page funny that is will leave Curry and Russ both 6'0 and 6'0 1/2.
Animus said on 12/Aug/18
Odell Beckham can get up there and dunk with the best of them--he's 181cm and his (standing) vert at the NFL combine was 38½ inches.
There are plenty of guys substantially shorter than Westbrook that can dunk in impressive fashion. I do know what you mean, though. Westbrook does dunk with unusual ferocity. Having just watched a few of his dunks, he seems to sling his arm from way back and the ball therefore travels a tremendous distance at high speed before it's dunked. Michael Jordan didn't tend to do this, although he was every bit the leaper that Russ is. Dominique Wilkins was famous for slamming the ball with the same kind of power, but he was about 4in taller than Russ and it's a very different visual when a 6'2½ guy does it.
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 24/Jul/18
He's just a very skilled player. I've seen sub-6'0" guys dunk like crazy too.
Canson said on 24/Jul/18
Well just because he can dunk doesn’t mean he’s not 6’2”. Have you seen Spud Webb or Isaiah Thomas or Allen Iverson or Dee Brown? All of them are shorter than Russ and had serious hops and Russ is 6’2 and change barefoot
SbsbababBoston said on 24/Jul/18
Their is no way he 6ft 2. Even if he has higher vert then most 6ft 2 guys, their is no way a 6ft 2 guy can dunk the way he dunks.

I’m still doubting Russ Grew. It’s more likely that he was an afternoon height in 2008 and he didn’t lay down prior to like someone like Kevin Love prob did. It’s more that some of the newer players like Lillard or Curry or Wall just aren’t as tall as they are listed. I know people who’ve met Wall (I’m from and live in DC) and Wall is 6’1.5-6’2” in person not 6’2.75
SammyBoi said on 9/Jun/18

I think the highest I can see for Russ is what he’s listed by Rob here. I could also buy him being 6’2.25 at a low like he was when drafted
Skiipp said on 4/Jun/18
Ronaldo is a solid 6'1 throughout the day, and Russ got comfortably 2-2.5 inches over him. Given Ronaldo was probably in casual shoes and Russ was in sneakers, I'll give Russ 6'2.75-6'3.

Canson said on 8/May/18
@EddieMoney: Russ would be 6’3.5 in shoes or a touch higher which is why SAS calls him 6’4”. I can see Russ and Oladipo being similar in height but because Oladipo was measured at that In the morning whereas Russ was measured in the afternoon in 2008. They began morning measurements in 2009. Also have to figure if Oladipo really was only say 6’3.05-.1 they would likely bump him to 1/4” because the NBA doesn’t do 1/8” increments like the NFL. It’s possible Oladipo is down closer to 6’2.5 or .75 In the afternoon and at that rate he would look close in height with Russ whether he’s 6’2.25 (like he was listed when drafted) or 6’2.5 like he is here
EddieMoney said on 6/May/18
Westbrook looks almost exact same height, might be even taller than the 6'3.25 measured Victor Oladipo. Stephen Smith adamantly stated that Westbrook is 6'4, and he has stood next to him, when someone commented on air that Westbrook is 6'2.
I would say Westbrook might be 6'3.5
Canson said on 30/Apr/18
@Johnson: I agree with Shane that he slouches but agree with you on his height. I see him as no taller than maybe 6’2.5 barefoot if that. Definitely not 6’4
Johnson said on 29/Apr/18
@Shane no way Rubio is measured 6'4 if he is not in sneakers when he claimed himself 1.90 in centimetres
Canson said on 28/Apr/18
@Shane: I feel you lol! As far as Rubio however, that’s interesting! I never noticed the slouching. He may actually be taller than Rose if that’s the case. Rose measuring 6’1.5 is likely a normal low, meaning before an extreme low kicks in. He would easily be 6’2” out of bed if he measures that but 2008 measurements were in the afternoon. I’m not sure about Rubio now but to me he doesn’t look taller than Rose
Shane said on 27/Apr/18
@Canson: Rubio slouches a lot. I know it seems hard to believe, but many insist he's been measured at or near 6'4" barefoot and 6'5" in shoes. If so, no way he dips under 6'2". Anyhow, I will leave your morning height comments alone lol as we will never agree on that point my friend haha.

My guesses on the point guards of today (at their afternoon heights)
Derrick Rose: 6’1.5
Canson194cm said on 22/Apr/18
@Johnson: Lebron would measure that at some point in the day. Don’t know if or think that that would be a low, however being that he measured 6’7.25, he claimed 6’6” before, and is not as tall as Love or Boozer or Tristan Thompson. Nonetheless, he would measure it. However, your comment below contradicts your statements you have made over the years. I have seen previous comments of yours and your Instagram. You are saying that I am or someone else is wrong when we assess heights at a low. In reality, you use a different standard than Celebheights which assesses people at an afternoon height. In addition, you assume everyone grows. Many of the basketball players, especially those measured 2009 or later, are measured an hour out of bed which is 3/8-1/2” above your afternoon height. If you haven’t realized yet, Rob assesses people at an afternoon height and that Is much more accurate than a height 1 hour out of bed like you assess. That’s the standard here on Celebheights. You guessed Steph Curry at 189 when he measured 188 an hour or less out of bed so that means he’s not that tall. And it’s one hour as the NBA has reported that heights are measured in the 6am hour evidenced by Blake Griffin and the NFL as well evidenced in an article from 2006 which says that it was that early in the AM. But you say everyone grew then make excuses such as they only did it for one year then reverted back to later in the day. In addition what you said about Curry “tweeting from his hotel room”. Troll may be a bit harsh because you’re entitled to your opinion and you’re a nice guy but common sense is common sense. I could see maybe one or two players out of 10 growing after a pre draft but it’s not likely that all of them did which is what you tend to believe. Then you also mentioned once that Ibrahimovic’s 194 measurement can’t be taken seriously because we could not hear all of the digits. True but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s 194 range meaning he would not be any taller than that. The only argument is that he could be less depending on when he actually measured (morning or afternoon).

Plus. When I give predictions I do not mean evening lows
Lows are tricky and they do not work out the same for all people
Everyone is free to give predictions when they want. Rob is the webmaster I don't think that they urge the posters to give predictions at the typical lowest. I read the rules and he does not say: the users must say predictions at low.

@Christian: this is not the best pic because some aren’t standing straight but Even here Rose is not as tall as Russ lol. Russ would have to be about 6’3.5 or .75 to make Rose 6’2.75 lol. Kevin Love is standing further ahead of Russ but it wouldn’t surprise me if Love is only a strong 6’7 next to them. Likely he can get 6’7.5 if they all aligned properly but Russ prob 6’2.25ish and Rose 6’1.5 looks right still. Love is actually shorter than Tristan Thompson in pics. The latter I can believe may have grown a touch but not Love
Canson said on 20/Apr/18
@Christian: that was well said! The funniest part is you have someone saying players grew and some of them were morning heights to begin with. It’s also funny that people don’t accept that a player can actually be well below a mark (Dwayne Wade comes to mind) and accept that a player is taller than they’re listed lol. Considering that the NBA measures its players annually, Rose would likely be listed 6’4” by now and Lebron 6’9” lol. They make adjustments during the year or at the beginning of the year. Gilbert Arenas was listed 6’3” at one point then later 6’4. Wall I believe was listed 6’3” then was bumped to 6’4” when he played with Arenas the first half of his rookie year and has remained the same ever since. Paul Pierce is a rare example. He was listed 6’6” when he first came in and likely is that amount barefoot. This may be because Boston had Ron Mercer and Antoine Walker and didn’t know where Pierce would fit in (would he be 2 or 3?). He was bumped to 6’7” when he became a full time 3 just like Vince Carter who is easily 1” shorter than Pierce was downgraded from 6’7 to 6’6” when he became exclusively a 2 guard in Toronto. Ditto for Kobe after Eddie Jones left and he was the full time 2 guard.
Canson said on 20/Apr/18
@Johnson: yes just like you were forcing your opinion of a 6’2.75 Derrick Rose on me as well. So I didn’t think like you there. And you saying Dillon is the “most common sense guy” because he sees your prediction and follows your methods of upgrading players just shows the hypocrisy with your last statement
Johnson said on 20/Apr/18
Lebron uses very thick sneakers.

Johnson said on 20/Apr/18
The guy with common sense here about basketball players is Dillon. Just ask Dillon he knows my exact prediction and my database of figures and pictures and what I give nowadays.
Most of people here have some kind of complex because they like to insult everybody else who do not think like them. They should grow up these things about predicting heights is just a game. A silly game. No money, no honour involved.
Who do not know this is not worth.

Rob, what made you upgrade him?
Nothing wrong with that by the way, he can pull this off
He looks often enough nearer a solid 189 than a weak one.
Canson said on 19/Apr/18
@Viper: Russ may have grown but it’s no higher than what Rob has him listed here. Even this seems high assuming Carmelo Anthony is a full 6’6.25 at a low. He may be a hair below as I was told by 5 people 1.5-2” difference. Nevertheless, Melo would still measure 6’6.25 near a low and the NBA doesn’t do 1/8” increments so he could’ve even been 6’6.05-.1 and been rounded up to that if it were a low. I’d bet money though that he isn’t less than a full 6’6” at a low and looked more along the lines of 198.5ish imho
Canson said on 19/Apr/18
@Viper: Merriman needs a professional measurement in my opinion. I simply don’t agree with 6’4 3/8. Rob is the professional of course. I guarantee you that if Rob were to stand next to him that Merriman would no longer be listed 6’4” here. Even if Rob were generous it wouldn’t be higher than 6’3 on this site.
Johnson said on 19/Apr/18
my predictions are just what I believe, let the people believe what they want, they are not facts, they are opinions
I was the first one who predicted 1,72 for Coutinho before measuring him, the day arrived, the video measuring and he marked 171,9. He breathed in and he market 172.2. So I just ask a little bit of respect for the users
Call a troll a person like me whose database of celebs of basketball/football players shows that are normally under the official listed height???
That is nonsense
said on 19/Apr/18
Facts should always outweigh opinions though. For example, despite Johnson saying that Derrick Rose's 6'2.75", it's a fact that he was measured 6'1.5" so we know he's not taller than that. Same thing with Lebron, he was measured 6'7.25" so 6'8" is out of the question.
Unless you are of the opinion - like Johnson - that they grew a bit taller. He seems to believe that, though yourself and others (myself included) don't hold that same opinion.
Canson said on 18/Apr/18
@Christian: most of what Johnson does stems from his beliefs that soccer players are a certain height by claiming to speak with the clubs and get official data. He swears by them whether they are morning heights or even embellished. Case and point was Griezzman with Derrick Rose. He made Rose 6’2.75 even trying to tell me that he’s taller than Kirk hinrich once when he’s shorter. Not to mention put Rose next to Curry (proven to be a morning height and likely 6’1.5 as well) or Westbrook or any others and he looks 6’1.5 at best. Coincidentally 2008 was an afternoon measurement as well which is the way Celebheights bases heights. But if you see the claims for MJ 6’5.5, Kobe 196.4cm, Lebron 203, Melo 200, Durant 208, Russ a full 6’3” Rose 6’2.75 it is beyond laughable. One player or perhaps two may grow but that’s 7 players I just named. Yet when it comes to women he often points out that they aren’t as tall as they’re listed. He was right about Maria Taylor I’ll give him that much at least
Canson said on 18/Apr/18
@Christian: thanks! And if logic were there I could see it but it’s not. He simply uses that as his go to for everything. He was doing that since he came on this site. Maybe Russ grew but if he did it’s no higher than Rob has him listed but to be honest I could still see 6’2.25. I see him next to Victor Oladipo and he was measured 6!3.25 in the morning. Russ was afternoon in 08. The tallest I could see for Oladipo is 6’2.75 in the afternoon or even 6’2 5/8 if that was rounded up from 6’3 1/8 to 1/4. He can look shorter than Russ but taller on other occasions or exact wth him for reference but hard to tell with them as close in height as they are. But now I can see why some say he’s 6’4/6’5 because he’s only prob a fraction shorter than a 6’5” listed guy (who’s under 6’3 just like Deangelo Russell lol)
@Rob: I don’t know about that. Claiming Derrick Rose grew to 6’2.75 is kinda crazy and inflating everyone else with him along with the site you mentioned.

Rob, and that's why Shawne Merriman did not grow an inch at 21 from his listed 6-3.
He was listed 6-4 in high school
Merriman is one of the strangest cases out there...out of all the athletes, he's one who I'd like to measure actually...

This isn't a matter of opinions, but facts. The fact is, these basketball players have measured data of their heights yet Johnson tries to make them taller by making excuses like they grew. I can't see Johnson being anything other than a fanatic for these players or a troll at this point. If these players didn't have records of their measured heights anywhere then I can respect Johnson's opinions, but this isn't the case here.
I think for NFL, it's going to be a far far smaller amount as most are 20-22 range when they get measured...but with NBA, some guys at 18-19 may well have gained a little more in 19-21 range. It's going to be a small minority of course.
As for Johnson, well he's entitled to his estimates like everybody. I don't agree with a lot of them, but I can see how he might arrive at his own conclusions.
There was a real 'downgrading troll' who, like Johnson, had his own site and was throwing up a lot of daft listings like Tom Cruise 5ft 4, Jamie Foxx 5ft 7, George Clooney at 5ft 8, Sean Patrick Flanery 5ft 9, Hayden Christensen 5ft 10...Now that is a real height troll!
When you go beyond the reasonable range a celebrity might be, towards the silly range, you enter the category of being a height-troll.
But a caveat - sometimes we shouldn't be quick to dismiss a lack of knowledge about celebrities or how height can change in photos as an attempt at trolling.

@Chase: I can’t see the footwear with Renaldo and Russ. Without that it’s impossible to tell. As for players growing it really doesn’t happen very often. That’s the “Johnson’s Digest” talking there. Lol Derrick Rose at 6’2.75 when we have a poster here named Max who met him and said 6’1.5 is precisely what he is and Melo is at best 4.5-5” taller. Of course they can grow but I’ve heard Johnson say at least 7 or 8 NBA players grew? What’s the odds of that using common sense? Lmfao!!

@Johnson: common sense meaning that most people don’t grow beyond 18. You’re the same one who said that Derrick Rose is 190cm (6’2.75) and that Carmelo is 6’6.75 and that Kobe was 196.4cm (his wife measured him 6’4.75) and that Lebron was 203 that MJ was 6’5.5 etc. you inflate everyone just to keep your favorite soccer players a certain height then make excuses like “he grew up”. You are a troll honestly. It’s funny that I am not the only one who has said that about you. Everyone else such as Ma James etc have seen you do that and agree that’s how you are. Most guys even measured at 20 you still inflate. So I guess In keeping with your silliness, Amare Stoudemire and Chauncey Billups also grew? Really lol? Gain some common sense and stop being silly, Johnson
The thing is, there will be some ballers who are nearly 19 when measured and did gain a bit more. It's a minority though, but Russell could be one of them.
There's always going to be disagreements, but I'm not sure we should call these differing opinions people have as outright trolling.
Johnson said on 16/Apr/18
@Chase I stopped commenting here. These threads are guarded by one guy and all his predictions are based on Carmelo Anthony and how he appears with others
Not pictures prooving that meeting.
Just guide yourself with common sense not draft heights at 18.
Canson said on 15/Apr/18
@Chase: in addition to what I said before, Curry being around 6’1.5 would put Russ max where Rob has him, but I could go with 6’2.25 just as easily since he looks 3” shorter than Butler and 4” shorter than Melo. Both of the latter would likely be that at best and could be 1/8” less or so
Canson said on 15/Apr/18
@Chase: I don’t believe Renaldo is that short, that’s correct. Steph Curry, however, is not a true 6’2”. On Celebheights, we go by afternoon and evening heights not morning. Beginning in 2009 which was the year he was drafted ironically, they began measuring players first thing out of bed. See the article below. In addition, Curry tweeted at 630 am that he was 6’2” and had just measured. Remember in the NBA they don’t do 1/8” increments so Curry could’ve been slightly over 6’1.75 when he measured and given 6’2”. Even if not he could’ve been 6’1.5 at a low which is how he looks usually. Russell Westbrook was drafted in 2008 when it was still an afternoon combine, which is why he looks taller than most other 6’3” listed guys that came after him. He even edges out Rose but because he is, in fact, taller than Rose
said on 13/Apr/18
@Canson Maybe lebron and Carmelo didn’t grow after 18-19, but it still doesn’t make sense why he looks 2 inches taller than Ronaldo, unless you think he is only 6 foot. Look at him next to 6’2 Stephen Curry. You think they are the same height?Click Here
Canson said on 13/Apr/18
@Viper: he’s taller than Curry. Compare to Carmelo Anthony who I have met and is a legit 6’6” minimum he’s aboit 4” shorter. Russ was measured in the afternoon while Curry in the early morning in 09. While I don’t agree with Rob’s upgrade, I do agree that he was the height he was originally listed here from his pre draft measurement (6’2.25)
viper said on 13/Apr/18
IMO he physically looks shorter than Stephen Curry.
Canson said on 12/Apr/18
@Chase: most people don’t grow once they hit 18-19 some even sooner. I’ve never met Lebron but I have met Carmelo and he’s a legit 6’6 maybe a strong 6’6 at best. He was 1.5-2” taller than me. I’ve also balled with and have seen Caron Butler off the court and he is a pre draft 6’5.25 and looked around 196cm in person (at very most an inch taller than me). I’m 6’4 1/4 barefoot. If you look at Russ with either guy he looks his pre draft height. IMHO the upgrade to 6’2.5 was unnecessary
Chase said on 12/Apr/18
I don’t get it. He looks 2 inches taller than Ronaldo who is a confirmed 6’1. You can’t compare him to players like lebron and Carmelo who got measured when they were young, because it is possible that they grew to. Ronaldo was measured after his growth plates closed.
Canson said on 29/Mar/18
I think a normal day without playing ball
Out of bed 6’2 7/8-6’3
Before bed 6’2 1/8 perhaps 6’2.25
Canson said on 29/Mar/18
@Shane: well said about all of them! And I’ve played against Delonte West that’s about right for him. He was about 3 inches shorter than me last time I saw him. Maybe 6’1-6’1.5 range. But was listed 6’4 and 6’3 when he played at Roosevelt in high school when I played him. Funny Eddie Basden who played with him in high school was my height (I was about a flat 6’4 in high school and listed 6’5 like I was) yet he was way taller than West. I think Russ at a low would be that height 6’2.25 but maybe a game 6’2 flat would be extreme for him. You’re absolutely right that he looks taller because of his build and also because he is legitimately over 6’2” on a normal low whereas a lot of the others like Rose and Curry are probably not. They are both 6’2 or so out of bed tho imho. Damian lillard looks even shorter than them. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is sub 6’1” In the afternoon on even a normal day. I have a hard time believing 6’1.75 for him honestly. That seems high even for a morning height. I would’ve thought 6’1.5 and 6’0.75 as out of bed and the afternoon next to Karlie Kloss whereas Curry and Rose and even Kyrie could be 6’2-6’2.25 and 6’1.25-.5 (maybe more toward the latter) on a day where they don’t play
Shane said on 28/Mar/18
@Rob: I think he's very maximum low is 6'2" 1/4 after a game barefoot. He measured that in afternoon at predraft camp and not after a game so I am confident he could go as low as 6'2" flat If not slightly under. I believe he just looks very tall because he is a solid 1/2 inch to even an inch taller than several nba guards listed at same height, including Kyrie Irving and especially Damian Lillard or former players like Steve Nash. Westbrook has likely over an inch on the likes or Lillard and Nash. 1/2 inch plus over the likes of Curry.
Shane said on 28/Mar/18
@Canson: Westbrook would have likely measured 6'2" 1/2 to possibly 6'2" 3/4 now with the 630 am measurements they do. In other words, he would almost assuredly be listed 6'4" (shoe height). He is taller than some nba players listed at 6'4" including the Rockets Gordon who is 6'2" flat barefoot. Delonte West measured 6'1" 1/2 barefoot but was very generously listed at 6'4" in college and most of his NBA career.
Canson said on 13/Mar/18
As listed last year they measured in the afternoon. Always a possibility he grew to 6’2.5 but always a chance he is dead on 6’2.25 which he looks. And 6’3 out of bed. Definitely no less than 6’2.25
Canson said on 24/Feb/18
@Alec289: I agree and I believe Kyrie is his listed height here 6’1.5.

@Canson looking at the all star game and videos on the all star game of Russell Westbrook next to Kyrie Irving and KD I barley see a height difference between Kyrie and Russell I think Canson is right about Russ being 6’2.25 I see barley a difference between kyrie who really looks 6’1.5 next to Russ.

@Derrifk: he was measured in the afternoon that’s why he looks taller. It’s the shift to Morning that throws things off because most people measure 1/2” taller than they would in the afternoon

@Jordan: I don’t have an official measurement for the commissioner validating that he’s 190 or that he’s the same height as Russ. Russ looks 4” shorter than Carmelo Anthony as well.
Silver looks as if he would be a bit taller. Of course he’s likley in dress shoes Russ in sneaks but the diff shouldn’t be that much. You could be right. I actually had Silver at 6’3” or about that but don’t believe Russ is as tall as he is. I think 6’2.25 is perfect for Russ as Rob has him listed from his draft measurement. He would prob be 6’3” out of bed

@Jack: that may just be the timing of his measurement. He was an afternoon measurement vs Steph or John Wall or Kyrie being morning (all 2009 or later) whereas Russ was 08. Russ could be 189 flat imho or 6’2.25-.5 max but can also look 6’2.25 with Carmelo as well. Melo was nothing less than a flat 6’6 imho nothing more than maybe 198.5/199 imho as well. Looks 4” diff to me with them

They mentioned that (sportsheight posted it on steph curry’s Page). Russ could’ve been given a fraction like maybe was closer to 6’2” than 6’2.25 but I believe his draft height at least today. Melo looks a solid 4” on him imho. But I believe you also on Paul George. He’s not over 6’8”. Just shows Lebron likely is barely if even 6’7” as PG-13 edges him by a good inch or so
Junior said on 27/Oct/17
Westbrook drafted before he turn 20 when he get measure 188.6cm in the morning he should be holding 6'1.75" range lowest but higher chance he could have grow a 1/4 now at 6'2.5" if a morning measurement take place and came down at 6'2 lowest.

@johnson: he’s def taller than renaldo is but Christiano probably is 185 at his lowest 6’0 7/8 or a full 6’1. At that rate tho 6’0 7/8 and 6’1 evening are one in the same. Russ really looks 189 max imho. Looks exactly 4 inches under Melo. So 188.5-189 vs like 198-199

Now I can say Kirk In person is no less than maybe strong 6’2” 6’2” is absolute worst case. At that stage when talking a one inch diff those pic you posted make it hard to tell unless back to back

@Johnson: A pic like that can be misleading. Look at the one below. Melo looks as tall as Paul George as well actually taller and is actually a couple inches shorter. Melo is exactly as listed 6'6-6'6.25. I saw him in person in 2016 and stood right next to him. HArden is clearly taller in your pic and while agree HArden is close in height with Pique. Harden is 6'3.5 tops as is Pique.

@Johnson: I easily see Russ waking to 6'3". So being you're going off morning heights Russ would prob be 6'2 1/2-3/4 range AM. Who knows he could be a full 189 at his lowest 6'2 3/8. Anything is possible but he looked near 4" less than Melo and 2.5 less than butler both of whom I've met and look near their pre drafts. I wouldn't estimate Melo to fall below 6'6 nor butler to fall under 6'5
Canson said on 1/Sep/17
Westbrook is a strong 6'2, not 6'4. His draft listing looks accurate and his lowest. Agree with Insomniak he would likely still be over by a fraction like Jarrett Jack or Michael phelps. I can see Melo similar too But see maybe him falling to 6'6" flat

Looks 1/4 inch shorter than Curry but i know he is a strong 6'2, this listed is perfect.
Russell has descomunal arms and small head so that makes looks taller clearly
Canson said on 2/Jul/17
@Johnson: unfortunately there is no good picture to accurately depict how much difference there is with them. The only one i see of them has Russ at a camera advantage. Russ measured 6'2.25 barefoot whereas it is not clear what Obama actually measured one says 6'1.5 one says 6'1 and the 6'1" doesn't say whether he took shoes off or not because it does say his weight in clothes and shoes I don't see why they would weigh him in clothes and shoes and not measure him the same but it also says "roughly 6'1". My guess is that there isn't more than maybe a 1.5" difference with the two if Curry was only about 2cm taller than President Obama in their pics and Russ is about 2cm or so taller than Curry. Keep in mind Russ was measured in 2008 (and it said that the combine was moved from afternoon to morning in 09 as three NC stars gained height 1/2" one of which 3/4"). Thus going off of this Russ's measurement is the more accurate of the two between Currys and his. No Russ didn't grow him height he's still the same as what he was when he was drafted because I can feel that being the next thing. Contrary to what you believe very few people grow to that degree after reaching age 18 or 19.
Johnson said on 2/Jul/17

@Shane: that's absolutely correct! And also explains for me why in the beginning on the site I've overestimated myself because I did it on a free day and was 6'4.5-.6 and think it was also late morning too or after not being up very long and laying down reclined etc. but now when I do it at the afternoon low I'm typically 6'4.25-.375 depending on what I've done as far as gym. I'd say for Russ if he were that high may have been a matter of him laying down but a typical low to me (and I usually don't go with those numbers) but 6'2.25 maybe a mm higher looks like a normal low for him. And like you said for yourself and curry he can prob dip to 6'2" after a game. And because it was an afternoon measurement from 08. I would really count the afternoon as A more accurate reading than late night but same as for you if you used the morning I don't have an issue with someone using their evening or absolute low for that matter, although the latter is a once in a while thing really. The only reason for that is I come down to a .25 to .375 and round down typically myself. But I consider mine to be 6'4 1/2 for this site even though it's not really an afternoon for me it's a later morning measurement (4 hours or so after being awake).
Shane said on 30/Jun/17
@Canson: thanks. And I'd say he can hit 6'2" 5/8-3/4 at least depending on what hed been doing that day and how much he compresses. Everyone is different in that regard. One thing I was thinking is an afternoon or evening measurement doesn't have to be a low. For example, if a guy just got up from a long nap or laying around just before measurement.
Canson said on 29/Jun/17
@Shane: I agree with you. And not real I shouldn't say. I would just say morning height for him. Russ would easily hit 6'3" or maybe 6'2 7/8 out of bed. I always enjoy discussing with you as well!
Shane said on 28/Jun/17
@Canson: From what I understand, morning measurements are the custom now (since 09). They want to make sure they have something consistent from year to year and for each player and that provides that. As for real measurements, they are all real if it's barefoot. If a person measures it is undeniably real. We can disagree on when is the best time but we can't say any is invalid because they are absolutely real and a person is that tall if they measure it. Always enjoy our discussions.
Canson said on 26/Jun/17
@Shane: not sure how late but was afternoon so I'd say if not at his lowest he's within 1/8 or less of it.
Canson said on 26/Jun/17
@Shane: yea 2008 and 09 were afternoon and morning respectively and others prob vary. Only reason I know is 2009 we saw Blake griffin's video of 630 am and saw steph currys 630am tweet and 930am draft report card. 2008 tho I saw an article that The poster Sportsheight posted on Steph Currys page that said about the 3 UNC stars (Green Lawson Ellington) measuring 1/2" higher the next year 09 vs 08 because they were at different times. One was 3/4" more. I believe some of the measurements just not all even in the morning (remember we had the discussion on Wade and you saw the same thing) as was the case with AI has a 6'0" barefoot when Larry brown has said he's 5'10/5'11 as have most who meet him. Westbrook I wholeheartedly agree with. 6'2.25 looks precise and may even be full 189. As for morning/afternoon I disagree. I go with what I measure for the majority of the day but typically 6'4 1/2 will be my go to since I'm a small hair over 6'5" out of bed and like 6'4.25-3/8 at night (closer to the latter). But also has to do with people you associate with for example my father is 6'4" or maybe 6'3 7/8 or 3/4 today but still only about 1/2" taller than he is and friends that are 6'5.25 (he claims 6'5 even tho the 1/4" is at night for him), 6'6 friend and 6'7" friend so I have just always stuck with 6'4". I mean at the end of the day, it's just a number and is really just psychological. People will form their own opinion based on how they claim or adjust you based on how they claim or see you. I personally in my 30s see no benefit claiming 6'5 that I don't get at 6'4" and I prefer 6'4 honestly if I had to really choose between the two numbers (If I could actually select my height). I'd go with being maybe 6'3 7/8 at my lowest like my Dad's height today. I've never gotten it tho people who claim shoes etc or lie. I can see if a pro college or high school athlete but outside of that it's nothing. I respect your view tho because you see that as your true height and it really isn't that much off. If you get to 6'1.25 normally I'd prob give you 6'1 but if you said 6'2 I'd figure it's simply a roundup not a lie
Shane said on 25/Jun/17
@Canson: any measurement is a real measurement. The early morning measurements are just as real, just different. In fact, I believe the morning measurements are more appropriate (as you know). Great point on Westbrook, though. If he indeed got measured late in day in 2008 (are you sure?) that would explain why he looks 6'4" or 6'5" to others as he would be around 6'3" barefoot earlier in day (if he was indeed measured late and from what I've understood he was).
Canson said on 31/May/17
Too many people are saying he grew because he makes the Damian Lillards and other guys shorter. It's because they received morning measurements and likely aren't as tall as advertised. Russ had he gotten the same would be 6'3" barefoot and 6'4" in shoes but he instead in 2008 receiced a real measurement not an eye opener. Put into perspective, He's exact with Jarrett jack and looks 3" shorter than Caron butler. Both of their measurements are near accurate as Caron has been 6'5" since high school and even when he played pro was about 2cm taller than I am Jack about 2" 5-6cm so shorter than I am. Jack at 6'2 and change and Caron as a good 6'5 make Russ what rob has him listed 6'2.25 at most 189cm. Just means the other guys aren't as tall as they are listed on their pre drafts
Jeffery Lord said on 27/May/17
Then why is Westbrook a bit taller than most guys listed at 6'4? (Ex: Wade, Jrue Holiday, OJ Mayo, John Wall)
Even LeBron has said Westbrook is underlisted and on the court is more like 6'4 or 6'5.
Canson said on 25/Apr/17
@KH: yes it is but not all of these listed ones are accurate like his. He looks it on the court and in person according to someone who met him
KH said on 21/Apr/17
This listing is correct because its his barefoot combine listing.

6'2.25"-6'2.5" is a solid listing. Curry looked barely 6'2 with Obama and Westbrook is slightly taller than Curry.
Gwynbleidd said on 3/Apr/17
Russell is a very, very solid 6' 2.5" - around 189.5 cm. A strong height for how Russ plays.
Canson said on 1/Apr/17
@SJH: Russ is a solid 6'2" worst case. He's not lower than 188. The other guys I agree on like Rose being 185 range maybe 185.5 tops and Curry 186.5ish
Canson said on 23/Mar/17
@Ebrahim: that is exactly what Russ is. I have a 6'3 friend who met him and he was only 1/2-1" shorter than he was
Rose and curry are shorter than him however noticeably for rose about 2cm for curry. Curry had a morning measurement which is why they don't line up (he tweeted 630am). Rose I believe afternoon but boosted a hair and is closer to 6'1"
Ebrahim said on 22/Mar/17
From what I've seen, Westbrook rose and curry seem to be almost the same height, the difference is just miniscule.
I say he is 6'2.25 spot on.
S.J.H said on 9/Mar/17
Honestly Willy Hernangomez look no taller than 6'8.75 max since he tilt down his head with westbrook. Westbrook is only 187cm
Johnson said on 9/Mar/17
Well there could be 15 cm between Hernangomez and Westbrook...
said on 8/Mar/17
Willy Hernangomez listed 2.11 and he looks only 13 cm taller than Westbrook
Any explanation? How tall is Willy?
S.J.H said on 27/Feb/17
I think back John Wall is only solid 187cm makes me wonder how could russell westbrook can even be 6'2.25 although sometimes westbrook and wall only look 1/4 than 1/2 , i'm going with 6'1.5 for westbrook which is few mm shine of 187cm that make much sense on wall's comparison
Canson said on 25/Feb/17
This is a guy in pics next to a reliably measured 6'3" guy that has met him that looks at most 189cm. That's what he is no more than maybe 6'2.5 and can see the 6'2.25. It's just shedding light on to the "right sizing" of players based on the Position they play. Yes he will look 6'3-6'4 next to a guy like John wall who is really only 186-187cm and listed as 6'2.75. That's the NBA for you

@A 171cm male
As another 171cm male I would say that we look very small compared to another person when that other person is about 6'2" or over. However the 6'2"+ brigade still probably makes up less than 10% of the population so although we are a little bit small for our gender we are only made to look really small by a low percentage of people.
James said on 21/Feb/17
@A 171cm male What kind of trolling is this? haha

Russ looks tall to me
Canson said on 10/Feb/17
Russ is correct 189cm 6'2.25
Curry received morning measurement more like 186.5-187 6'1.5ish. Russ has him by 2cm

S.J.H said on 26/Jan/17
Westbrook look at most 4cm taller than cristiano ronaldo look at top of head minus ronaldo hair and cap not looking eye level and 10cm is way off. lol, but look carefully on the video ronaldo look to drop a fraction posture there so the listing 6'2.25 and 6'1 seem strong listing
Johnson said on 26/Jan/17
@Canson Another player proving wrong the draft height... that of Cristiano Ronaldo is 6 foot tall... Do you really believe it?

I thought he was at least 6 ft 3 next to ronaldo ..solid 2 inch difference
GP said on 23/Jan/17
He has claimed 6'3" before. I read it somewhere when a reporter was claiming that Durant was 7" and he was asking his teammates during OKC years and Westbrook said that he was 6'3" and Durant was 6'10". I would bet that he was measured at 6'2.5" and either it was typing error since they made a similar error with Blake Griffin, who was measured at 6'8.75" but was listed at 6'8.5" (which is more accurate).

Rob, how much do you think Westbrook weighs in the photos posted below and in other recent pics?
Editor Rob: not sure he looks much over 200 pounds.
Johnson said on 23/Jan/17
@S.J.H are you kidding? The picture suggests 10 cm of difference between them Ronaldo and him, the problem is the pic is really bad I saw the whole video...and there it was a difference of 5 cm minimum
Westbrook is 6'3... look at him with measured without shoes Oladipo
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 22/Jan/17
Ronaldo looks closer to 6ft in that photo!
S.J.H said on 21/Jan/17
The picture look like westbrook is 189cm and ronaldo is 185.5cm
Johnson said on 21/Jan/17
For Westbrook and Ronaldo is better to watch the whole video. The difference is not that big as it looks in that picture

I don't know about tall people, but once I am 2 hours after waking up I am the same height until before bed. I only change the days when I sleep more than 10 hours and if I don't go out that I am slightly taller than my everyday height for most part in the day like 0.5 cm...

Anthony davis was measured 6'8 and then 6'9.25, I think westbrook look a little than this listing here
Moke said on 18/Jan/17
So he's been measured 189cm at draft camp, that is- in the morning. Makes him 6'2 during the day. Nothing wrong with that. Same with Ronaldo. Makes sense.
said on 18/Jan/17
Similar to measured Oladipo 6'3.25. Westbrook looks a legit 6'3
S.J.H said on 18/Jan/17
Positive side is stephen curry claiming 6'3 but was no taller than 6'2 yet westbrook claim the same but look 6'2.5 most of time compare to curry
said on 17/Jan/17
Thanks Rob! I've been wondering if he had any growth since his draft measurement. Seems rather unlikely, considering he was 19-and-a-half at the time. He does sometimes look a little taller, though that could be for any number of reasons. Good to have him on the site.
Editor Rob: I am certain he claims 6ft 3, but can't find where he said it. I could see an argument for 6ft 2.5 range, he doesn't have a big head for his height.
joe### said on 17/Jan/17
I saw 2 swollen taller than cr7
If this 6'2.25, cristiano ronaldo is maximum 6'0
Jam said on 17/Jan/17
My favorite player. Ridiculous he's averaging a triple double at this height
Johnson said on 17/Jan/17
We like this addition.
I think he grew up since his draft. He claimed 6'3. He looks 2 inches taller than Cristiano Ronaldo. Oladipo was measured 6'3.25 barefoot and he edges Westbrook no more than 1 cm
S.J.H said on 17/Jan/17
Westbrook look alot like 6'2.5 especially on jimmy fallon show
