From what I've seen Curry has 1/4 inch on Kyrie at most. I therefore guess Kyrie at 6'1.5 and Curry at 6'1.75.

@Onabill: they didn’t play any pickup games before they measured them. They measured first such as wingspan then height. You didn’t watch the video if you are saying any of that stuff. It clearly said in the article as well that they did it early morning because they would’ve been taller in the morning
Canson said on 11/Jul/19
@Onabill: I don’t know what to tell you. You obviously didn’t watch the video then. Griffin didn’t shower or brush his teeth or eat breakfast. I highly doubt any of them did that. He literally threw clothes on and went down. They eat after the combine. They wouldn’t eat prior to working out and there was nowhere to cook or prepare food in their dorm rooms they stayed in. Watch again and it’s clear. In addition, see this article below about the 2006 NFL combine. It clearly says rise and shine was at 6am where the players went for drug tests and then went for their physicals. They wouldn’t eat prior to doing the same exercises. Not that close at least. Nobody eats prior to working out to that extent. There’s not enough time. So The proof is in the pudding and why would a website exaggerate how much height they lost? That makes absolutely no sense. And you’re 100% wrong because if you look at Combine measurements in football and senior bowl it’s the same around 1/2” difference from 1 hour out of bed to afternoon. Rob has said before that one loses 1/4”-3/8” after their first hour. All of us on this site have done the same. Keep in mind that people constantly lay down and stretch until they’re measured when they’re able to. So I really don’t know what to say but it sounds as if you don’t want to believe it. You saying the website exaggerated is a cop out

@Canson, That website exaggerated how much height they would have lost, only between 2 hours and 5 hours out of bed would one loose that much height plus I doubt they would have been measured that quickly out of bed, 1/2 hour for having a shower, brushing teeth etc 15-20 mins for preparing breakfast and 10-15 mins eating the breakfast that’s already an hour lost then they probably did some drills and played pick up games which probably lasted an 1 hour to 1 hour 1/2 and then they would have been measured plus as they did a lot exercise that cancels out how early they would have been measured In my opinion the 2009 draft class got measured between 3 hours and 3 hours 1/2 out of bed, at the worst they got 1/16 - 1/8 inch listed higher then their true height but anything less than an 1/8 is a negligible, At the worst Steph is 6 ft 1 7/8 and Blake is 6 ft 8 3/8
Canson said on 9/Jul/19
@Onabill: a lot of NBA players that Rob lists here do need 1/2” downgrade because they’re mostly listed at combine heights which are early morning. James Harden 6’3 1/2” max not 6’4. Curry 6’1 1/2”. Damian Lillard I don’t know what happened. He doesn’t look over 6’0” honestly. Durant and Westbrook look taller than they are listed because of that when both guys are closer to their actual heights than the rest. Melo is too. Lebron is debatable. I could almost buy 6’7” flat but I could also buy 6’6.75. Not buying 6’6” or 6’7.25 tho
Canson said on 9/Jul/19
@Onabill: the link is right below for the 2009 NBA draft. It says that all three North Carolina players measured (Lawson Green and Ellington) were 1/2” taller in 09 vs 08. They even said it’s because they measured early morning. Blake Griffin’s video is also below. Rob posted that on his page and it was clearly not long after he woke up and it was the same year. 2009. Also Curry was 2009. In addition, here is Mike Greenberg saying he’s under 6’2” when he met him. Greenberg admitted he’s 5’11 1/2 and that Curry is 2” taller. Between Curry and Russ I see about 3/4” (2cm). That looks the same as it does with Jarrett Jack and Curry. I’ve known Jarrett Jack for years having played against him in High school AAU and in College we played against each other in a tournament and scrimmaged. I am from Virginia right outside of DC and He’s from MD right out of DC but same metro area. Curry’s tweet was also at 630 in the morning at the camp. Westbrook was measured in the afternoon in 2008 as he looks a lot closer to his measurement than the others do. And yes it’s possible that if it’s less than 2cm between them that Russ dips under 6’2.25. Russ looks about 4” shorter than Carmelo does and Melo is a legit 6’6” but maybe as tall as he’s listed here at best. It has been early morning since 09 and some players prior to that were measured at morning heights if they hopped out of bed and went straight to it thinking Kevin Love as hes Lebron’s height. That said Curry measuring 6’2” early morning assuming it’s not 6’1 7/8 or 6’1.8 makes sense for him to be 6’1.5 being that the NBA doesn’t do 1/8” increments. The Combine also will not round down. So if he were 6’1.77 they would call him 6’2”. Another thing I look at his How they measure the players. They don’t use a machine

@Canson can you please link me the information that says Blake and Curry were measured 1 hour out of bed, also Westbrook height is over exaggerated, just put in Westbrook and Curry and at the All Star Game 2014 where they are hugging and Westbrook barely looked 1/2 inch taller than Curry so if Curry is 6 ft 1 1/2 then Westbrook can not be anymore than 6 ft 2! I think Westbrook is 6 ft 2 1/2 barefoot but if Steph is not a full 6 ft 2 guy then a lot of Basketball Players will be receiving a 1/2 inch downgrade!

He is 187.5 at most... weak 6ft2 during the day , a solid 6ft2 like Jeremy lin looked a tad taller than him.
Between he looked just 2cm taller than 185 flat obama who i believe is a weak 6ft1 considering the fact that he is 50+ .I think a figure like 189 on the dot out of bed and 187 flat at night might be the right guess for him, i can't buy anything below 187 at lowest for him though.
Frost said on 4/Jun/19
Curry looked shorter than this next to drake. It's the court floor too so it's about as level as you can expect.

Didn't see even a 2 inch difference but perhaps the camera angle was deceptive. It was overhead by a bit.
Canson said on 11/May/19
@MrTBlack: agreed. I could buy something like 186-187 at a low. He’s easily 6’2” range out of bed but doesn’t look as tall as a true 6’2” ranger like Russell Westbrook. I think Russ is his pre draft listing (the previous listing Rob had for him) as they mentioned 2008 pre drafts were done in the afternoon versus 2009 morning measurements. That’s not stopping someone from laying down prior to to gain height but Russ we can all unanimously say looks a good 6’2” range minimum

@Shane: I could see the same. 6’1.5 maybe a hair less normal days and 6’1.25 maybe a hair less at the extreme low
Shane said on 23/Mar/19
@James: nobody is trolling. Curry was measured 6'2" flat (or slightly under) very early in morning very near peak height. People compress through the day. Most people over 6 foot tall compress a bare minimum of a half inch but most are three-quarters of an inch or more. Thus, Curry likely dips to 6'1 1/2" inch at least, and I'm of the belief that he dips closer to 6'1" on a game night.
Canson said on 22/Mar/19
@Junior: Igoudala May have been an afternoon measurement though. It’s hit or miss before 2009. Green was surely morning and to be honest he may be a guy like Tim Tebow. He doesn’t look anything over 6’5.25 but really 6’5 flat. have to remember that he may not have been the full 3/4”. They may have rounded up so it’s entirely possible if he layed around that he’s 6’5 flat. That’s how he looked with Paul Pogba. Klay Thompson measured 6’5.75 and he looks the height you mentioned for Green. Thompson looks taller than Green as does Iguodala in most other pics. I know the former warriors GM mentioned that Draymond Green was the 3rd shortest Warrior behind Curry and Clark. That may be a stretch because McCaw measured lower than him but it almost shows that the other guys are taller.
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 21/Mar/19

@Junior: I did some research and some pics. From what I’ve seen of warriors players and management, Bob Myers VP of operations looks around 6’5.5 (listed 6’7 when he played).

With Myers:

Draymond looked 1/2” shorter than him so 6’5”

Klay was harder to see difference but my guess maybe he’s 6’5.25-.5 since he can appear .25-.5 on Green sometimes

Kerr 6’1” which he was listed for a year or two as a player and also 6’3”. 4.5” diff

Curry looks 6’1.5 with both. Is about 4” shorter and about .5” taller than Kerr and about 3.5” shorter than Draymond and close to 4” shorter 3.5-4” than klay. Morning 6’2”

Iguodala looks about same size as Bob Myers so 6’5.5 or .75 possible

Cousins looked 6’9” flat about 3.5” taller than Myers, 4” taller than Draymond. He’s always looked 6’9” with Davis and Durant. 6’9.5 early AM

Livingston looks about an inch taller than Draymond maybe 3cm so he’s close to his draft measurement which was likely afternoon that year since before 2009 and he didn’t need the boost since he’s already tall for a point guard which he was coming in the league. He’s also taller than Iggy and Klay and similar with Harrison Barnes and Jordan Bell who are probably 6’6.5 guys morning 6’7

I have Curry at 6’2.25 out of bed 6’1.5 at a low since his measurement was proven to be early morning in 2009 seeing the Blake Griffin video and based on how he looks and how others perceive him such as Mike Greenberg who’ve said he’s 5’11.5 and Curry is max 2” taller

He has the face of a small person. If he weren't a basketball player, I'd think he's 5'6"-5'7". I definitely think his height is exaggerated because you're supposed to be about 6'3" to be a point guard. In the pic here, he looks surprisingly taller than his face would indicate because he has a lot of leg. I'm sure Jeremy Lin is at least an inch taller than him, and JLin is listed at 6'3". Jeremy has the long, lanky look of a tall person, but Stephen Curry just doesn't look tall.

@Michael Gray: peak is actually his afternoon height in his 20s or when he has finished growing. That’s what Rob refers to as “peak”. It has nothing to do with out of bed height. He doesn’t even take that into account when assessing heights. The only exceptions are athletes who are measured early morning. @Monkey Knees: I’m not sure now what McCollum’s pre draft was but all players 09 or later were surely measured in the early morning. So if that’s his actual pre draft he may be as low as 6’2” (provided accurate measurement of course), as the NBA also doesn’t do 1/8” increments. They only use 1/4s, 1/2, full. So provided that is accurate for CJ he may be 6’2 or 6’2.25

@junior I am stating facts from being in close quarters to Portland players. CJ McCollum is a genuine 6ft2.75 guy and its clear to see Lillard doesn't hit 6ft when together. Im a TB fan, so have no reason to diss Damian. He's still taller than your average US male; just short for an NBA player. No biggie.
Canson said on 12/Sep/18
@Junior: I don’t know. Curry even towers Lillard and Westbrook even more so. A 6’2” range guy isn’t gonna be that much taller than a guy that is 6’1.75 morning height. My guess is shoes. While 5’11.5 may be low it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he’s 6’1.75 in shoes in the Morning and only 6’0” at a low
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 12/Sep/18
Generally looks close to 6ft2, I wouldn’t argue less than 6ft1½.
James said on 10/Sep/18
I would say curry is 6’1.5” at the afternoon-evening height. His 6’3” measurement is with shoes in the morning. Otherwise, he’s 6’2.5” in shoes throughout the day
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 2/Sep/18
@Monkey knees Lillard was drafted at 6'1.75" without shoes. That would leave all players took off 2-2.25" from draft height. Kind of ridiculous thinking Stephen Curry being 6'0 and Derrick Rose 5'11 1/2 too.. For me i can believe at least an inch off to say the height without shoes was atually cheated to added an inch. No wonder Draftexpress.com have deleted the databased of players measurement height they mean to hide something for all players.
Canson said on 28/Aug/18
@Monkey Knees: I didn’t expect that! I would’ve guessed 6’0.75 but that also explains why he looks so much smaller than guys like Russ. Although I never believed 6’1.75 either.
Monkey knees said on 27/Aug/18
As someone who spent 6 months in portland for work at Moda Centre, i watched a lot of NBA and sorted kits for the Trail blazers - i was shocked at Damian Lillard being the same height as me at 5'11.5. His listings all over the web are crazy!!!!
Canson said on 23/Aug/18
@Rob: says it right here that the 2009 class was and the Blake Griffin video proves it. Curry is around 6’1.5 at a low perhaps like Shane is saying. I’m classing a normal low (6’1 3/8-5/8).

Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 20/Aug/18
I doubt on the 185-190lbs. From the lightest and heaviest Curry look between 158-175lbs. I would say he currently weighs a little shine under 80kg. 6'1 5/8-6'1 3/4 for sure.
Shane said on 17/Aug/18
@Rob I'm confused by this and other listings my friend. Supposedly the standard here is barefoot afternoon heights. We know Stephs 6'2" is almost right out of bed. So why does he and some other hoopers get a morning/almost out of bed listing if afternoon is the standard?
Editor Rob
It's still a best estimate. Sometimes one person might have been measured earlier than another, it's too hard to class all measurements to be say 2 hours out of bed. Nerves, people rising earlier, measured later.
Canson said on 16/Aug/18
If he measured 6’2” early AM like he did (1 hour or less out of bed), it means he is 6’1.5ish at a low. Keep in mind no 1/8” increments in the NBA either

6’1.75” is likely. would not rule out 6’1.5” though.
Canson said on 16/Jul/18
@Viper: he doesn’t weigh 190.
Canson said on 16/Jul/18
@Viper: of course he’s under 6’2”. He got measured in the early AM just like Blake Griffin did (same draft class). It even explicitly stated that the measurements occurred early AM in 2009. I know Mike Greenberg says here that he’s 5’11.5 and Curry is max 2” taller. Not to mention that Curry isn’t as tall as Westbrook who was an afternoon measurement in 2008 (it stated). I believe he’s 6’1 3/8-5/8 range (6’1.5ish)

@Shane: well said! He measured that at a morning height as well. With certain players, people here believe that they must be a certain height just to not take away from them as athletes
Shane said on 7/Jul/18
He measured right at or just under 6'2" early in morning and almost out of bed. It's funny how everyone talks about peoples low or afternoon heights for virtually everyone else but with Steph everyone is acting like hes the only guy who doesnt compress lol. At best, Curry would lose only a half inch from early morning height and drop to 6'1 1/2" at a minimum and could easily drop to 6'1 1/4" for a low and possibly lower.
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 4/Jul/18

He is perhaps one eighth over 6'02.00", but certainly not below that mark. Like most basketball players his listed height is a slight exaggeration. I've even heard of players wearing multiple pairs of socks to boost their height.
Canson said on 15/Jun/18
@Christian: that sounds about right for where you would measure as I’m usually about 193.2 at an extreme low. I’ve seen a solid 6’4 once (193.1 actually I believe). But you wake up maybe as far over 6’6” as I do 6’5. I’m usually 195.7 maybe 195.8 some days.
Christian-6'5 3/8" said on 14/Jun/18
@Canson

One time I measured as low as 195.4-.5 after no sleep or reclining for a couple days, but I didn't stand at my tallest because I was very tired, so I think I would've measured around 195.7
Canson said on 14/Jun/18
@Shane: yea I’ve never gone under the mark. But for me that’s a lot since I’m 1-2mm over 6’5” out of bed and 6’4 flat as a low is about a 2.6cm diff. I’ll try tho at a more extreme measurement
Shane said on 13/Jun/18
@Canson: that's very interesting! I never sleep on stomach but would live to try it and see what I came up with. If u have long legs you may never go under 6'4". Perhaps if you measured immediately after something like squats or deadlifts you could.
Canson said on 10/Jun/18
@Shane: I experimented recently. I slept on my stomach one night and woke up a bit taller like 195.9 or 196cm vs 195.7 (6’5.06) which is my usual. Then I tried Memorial Day weekend to determine my extreme low. I got down to 193.2 after being on my feet all day. Then tried again and saw 193.1 on a day when I went to the gym. I’m not sure if I come under 6’4” at all but also because I’ve got long legs relative to my torso
Canson said on 9/Jun/18
@Enzo: he measured 6’9”. Maybe he’s grown a touch but not 2”. He’s only said to be 6’11” because he’s about 6’10.5-.75 in sneaks. Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan and other people listed 6’11 or 7” are taller
Canson said on 9/Jun/18
@Shane: agree with everything you said. I class by a normal low but you’re right at the extreme low that would be it
Shane said on 8/Jun/18
@Canson:

Steph: 6'1 at low give or take 1/8 in.
Klay: 6'5" to 6'5 1/8" low
Green: 6'5" low give or take 3/16 in.
Durant: 6'9 1/4 to 1/2" low.

I personally think maximum lows (during a night game) can go pretty low and I think that's when you can get a potential of a barely under 6'1" or sub 6'5" for steph, green and klay. More likely for Draymond or Klay to do that since they likely have longer torsos than Steph and daily compression occurs almost entirely in spine so the longer the spine the more compression which is why those with long spines like me can go an inch or even over an inch of compression from morning to an extreme low.
Enzo said on 7/Jun/18
Durant is actually 6'11". He's admitted he's lied about his height. He's noticeably taller than most listed 6'10" players.
Canson said on 2/Jun/18
Being the combine is early morning he could measure along the lines of 6’2-6’2.25 out of bed and 6’1.25-.5 at a low. Only throw the .25 in there because the NBA doesn’t use 1/8” increments. They round up so it’s entirely possible he was between 6’1.75-6’2 at the measurement and they rounded. But 6’1.5” looks perfectly accurate for him. He was not as tall as 6’2” Eric Gordon when they stood next to each other
cmillzz said on 1/Jun/18

Curry: 6’2-6’2 1/4 out of bed; 6’1 1/4-1/2 at a low

Durant: 6’9-6’9.5 at a low

Green: 6’6-6’6 1/4 out of bed; 6’5 1/8-1/4 at a low

Klay: 6’6-6’6 1/8 out of bed: 6’5 1/4-3/8 at a low (at worst he and Draymond are the same)

This guy is not a legit 6’2” but that makes his accomplishments stand out more. He’s about 6’1.5ish. Draymond looks 3.5” sometimes 4” taller than him
Canson said on 20/May/18
@Junior: very possible. I’d say he can fall to about that strong 6’1/weak 6’2 on a normal day. A 6’2 morning measurement (assuming that it was a solid 6’2” and not a little less), would make him closer to what you said or 6’1.5 at a low. I mention what I do because the NBA never has done 1/8” increments. The norm from what I see with NBA players at least, is half inch variance from their morning measurement to the normal height. So some say Kevin Love is closer to 6’7 but at 6’7.75 that would put him probably 6’7.25 at a low. Love was measured in the afternoon in 08 but Shane also brought up a strong point in that many players may measure in the afternoon and not be true “afternoon” measurements if they slept later or laid flat until near the time of the measurement. I would be hard pressed after what I’ve seen to say Love is 6’8” but I can see a strong 6’7”. He looks similar to Lebron to be honest but there may be 1/2” or so difference possibly. That means Lebron May dip under 6’7” at a low while he’s a strong 6’7” at a low. I’d be hard pressed to see Love dip under 6’7” any day even after a game
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 19/May/18

I have a hard time seeing Lillard even being 6’1” at his low which is below where he should be if he really were 6’1.75 in the morning (should he 6’1.25 or at worst 6’1 flat in the afternoon). 6’0.75 is a best imho. he even is shorter than Karlie Kloss

Johnson said on 7/Feb/18
@Canson Can you put the link of measurements of Ibaka?
Canson said on 6/Feb/18
@Johnson: remember that Blake Griffin was measured at around the same time and his clock said 6:30 as well. It said that everyone was measured early am and the players they made reference to from UNC were all measured .5” taller than their afternoon heights the previous year. That said Curry (assuming he actually measured a full 6’2 and not 6’1 7/8 or 6’1.76+) is no higher than 6’1.5. That’s how he looks actually. He never looks 6’2” flat unless you compare him to the later measurements from the last few years where they have measured in the first hour too. So if a 6’7 guy early am measured 6’6.5 or 6’6.25 afternoon they would in theory not be a “legit 6’7”. Now my definition of heights are those that someone walks around at.

He’s 2” shorter than I am and no more than 188-189. Curry at 186.5 at a low makes the most sense. Also adds up with how Max guessed Derrick Rose 186 range and Jackson (below) whose 6’2.5 friend played against curry and guessed him an inch shorter than him. Curry on a normal day isn’t over 6’1.5 maybe less when he’s been on the court for hours

Shane said on 20/Nov/17
@Canson: I strongly disagree that Curry's low is almost 6'1" 1/2. I think he can go as low as 6'1" flat. He measured about 6'2" right out of bed at combine. Not uncommon for people over 6'0" without shoes to dip 3/4 of an inch to even a bit over an inch. By the end of a game, I can see him down at 6'1", for sure.
Canson said on 12/Nov/17
186.5-187 at his lowest he’s not as tall as Westbrook is or Jarrett jack
Canson said on 9/Nov/17
@Gonzalo: means the other guy isnt 1.87 which is typical as most athletes are iverlisted. Draymond green isn’t much over 6’5 (his coaches have both said it and he doesn’t look any taller than Kobe or manning). Look at curry with him that’s close to 4” at times others 3.5”
Johnson said on 8/Nov/17
@Gonzalo

My predictions

189 Curry
187.5 Djokovic max.

Seth Curry his brother was measured 6'1 barefoot and 6'3 in shoes. Funny. He is like 3 cm shorter than Stephen

@Junior: I agree on Rose and Curry. I can buy maybe 6’1-6’1.25 for rose curry could be like 6’1 3/8-5/8. Russ I do believe has the best chance of being right on the money. He looks strong 6’2” with Melo. I base my estimates for curry and rose also off how they look with Jarrett jack. Jack looked similar to Russ in person strong 6’2” 188/189.
Junior said on 25/Oct/17
Canson , given their lowest i would say Derrick Ross big chance to be 186cm flat and Curry 186.7cm nothing over. Despite Ross always look same height as Damian Lillard who get measure pre-draft at 6'1.75" so he might drop below 6'1.5" at his lowest just like Ross and they were all shorter than 6'2 Russell Westbrook.
Canson said on 24/Oct/17
Well said Junior. I think Curry could even have 1/4” or so on Rose but I think the one point guard who looks his pre draft to a T is Russell Westbrook looks a strong 6’2. He is taller than all of those guys like wall Curry Rose etc
Junior said on 23/Oct/17
Curry i think of had no chance going above 6'1.5" before bed if someone like Derrick Rose measure 6'1.5" in pre-draft camp.
Jordan TK said on 22/Oct/17
YEAH THAT'S IT BUT HE PROBABLY CLOSE TO 1.87M 6FT 1.75~1.8 INCHES 187~188cm closer to 187cm

6’1 7/8-6’2” morning height which is when the combine took place

6’1.5 is the most I can see him walking at in the afternoon
Celebheights 6'1.5 said on 2/Oct/17
I would say:

Stephen Curry-6'1 7/8-6'2" (he would possibly drop under it at his absolute low after a busy day on the court, but maybe not by that much)
Tony Romo-6'1 1/2"-3/4"-He's a weak 6'2" that probably obtained a 6'2" measurement 2-3 hours out of bed. I'd be surprised, however, if he were a flat 6'1". They would have really had to have done an awful measurement at the combine/him claiming this height. He probably would measure as being just barely taller than Steve Nash if both obtained measurements for their extreme lows.

Both would be shorter than Ryan Reynolds, however.
Canson said on 29/Sep/17
@6'1.5: it's the same with Rob Gronkowski. I question his now whereas before I didn't. He looks 6'5.5-.75 (197cm range) next to Brady honestly and is shorter than Jimmy graham which is odd because both measure 6'6.25 supposedly. Now I can look back at cam newton and wonder as well as Kobe can "appear taller" sometimes. I would've guessed those two the same actual height 195cm as cam measured 6'5" flat at the combine in the AM
Celebheights 6'1.5 said on 28/Sep/17
I do sometimes question Tony Romo's 6'2" measurement, based off of the fact that he often does appear shorter than other NFL player who were measured at 6'2" (or near the mark that is). He even appears to be shorter than Stephen Curry does in other photos as well. I'm thinking that it was a measurement that was done earlier in the day...
Canson said on 25/Sep/17
I don't believe that Curry or Romo are as tall as they are listed on pre drafts. Curry doesn't look more than 186 range next to Westbrook or Jarrett Jack
sfs324 said on 20/Sep/17
Rob, what are your thoughts on this?

Assuming JT is 5'11, how are 6'2 Romo and Curry getting dwarfed by him? I'm assuming the golf course would be fairly flat so it'd be even levelling.

@Shane: I concur with Rob. I was essentially saying that difference with jack and curry looks maybe 1/2" with hair and if curry had none looks 2cm or maybe close to an inch based on several pics. I agree with you that curry can look 185 range sometimes. I give him a full 186 or so to be consistent based on how Wall looks and appears to those who have met him such as 2 people I know and even a poster here SJH. Another poster too said that a friend met wall and looked weak 6'2. I can see max 1cm diff with wall and curry back to back maybe 1/2". I could say Wall looks 6'1.75 most times

But for Curry I find it nearly impossible that he is a legit 189 walking around based off how he looks with Jack when Jack barely makes that himself if even. Now Curry waking to 189 isn't completely impossible or 188.5
Shane said on 12/Sep/17
@Canson or Rob: how much height does a full head of hair add to a measurement vs. A bald or shaven guy ?
Editor Rob: there's a lot of variation, sometimes as little as 1/8th, to as much as a few inches if wearing a big bun or have an afro style or spiky do!

Curry's hair looks at times 1/4, and when a bit more full maybe near 1/2 inch.
Johnson said on 12/Sep/17
I agree with Rob about the perception he has on Curry
Johnson said on 12/Sep/17
@Canson I will check the video. I rule out 189. Obama's pic on suits fooled me. He must be closer to Obama
Canson said on 11/Sep/17
@Johnson: you did see Blake Griffin's video right? He woke up at 624 and was downstairs by 630. Also again look at Curry with Jarrett Jack. Jack is 188-189 and 2cm taller. He is bald wherrwas curry has hair. There is no way humanly possible that Curry is 189cm. Maybe he wakes up around 188.5 but likely is 186 range later in the day. That's how he looks on the court
Johnson said on 10/Sep/17
I don't make up stuff I have no idea about measurements in draft hours and place. I read the twitter "up at 6:30" so I understood he woke up at 6:30 am.

I don't mind failing predictions, I guessed right lots of celebrities it just makes me happy to guess right. There are lots of mistakes and errors of footballers and I usually get them that is very important, to correct data. Some footballers officially downlisted others uplisted. My goal is just to get real height of people

Canson said on 9/Sep/17
@Shane: exactly! Thank You! My guess is curry could be as high as 186 or could even be 185 range like you have him. I remember SJH saying a relative met him and said he's 185 range. I put Jarrett Jack at 188-189 max

@Johnson: why are you always making stuff up to make people taller?

@Canson he said: up at 6:30 getting test. What does it mean?. Was he doing the medical at that time? So then he must got up earlier yet
Canson said on 9/Sep/17
@Johnson: it says nothing about curry "waking up at 630". If you are going to argue argue facts. Blake griffin walked downstairs in his video of his and curry was in the same draft class of 2009. They all stayed at the facility where the combine was when they were measured. Curry actually tweeted at 630 am saying he was at the combine. That's when everyone was there. The thing with the measurements as I've mentioned before is that there are no 1/8" increments so likely he could've been bumped up from even 6'1.76 not to mention a touch of hair can add 1/4" too. Looking at him with Jarrett jack who is bald and is 2cm taller he is 186-186.5. I had jack by two inches and he is the same size as Michael phelps or Russell Westbrook is

As for your height that is not the norm. But I believe you if that's what you say. Me on the other hand I lose 1/2" in 2-3 hours of waking up. Then am down to 193.9 by hour 7-8. I can get down to 193.7 which is 6'4.25 if I go to the gym but I have the 6'4 3/8 194cm flat to be what I consider my actual height even though I wake up at 195.8 usually depending on how much sleep I get. I could claim 6'4 or 6'5" if I wanted but choose 6'4" as i really only feel that claiming higher when I am content with what I am is just assisting others in lying up nothing beneficial to me really. Now in many cases your estimates tend to be Morning heights not the heights they walk around at.
Shane said on 9/Sep/17
@Johnson: we know he got measured very early because he tweeted it very early
Johnson said on 6/Sep/17
@Canson Curry got up at 6:30 but we don't know the hour when he did his medical test and if he went there my car. I only read the tweet nothing more.

Also we do not know his exercise hours of sleep etc

In the case of my job I wake up at 7:30 and then I go to work and I begin working. Then I go to medical. I have been working for more than 1 hour so when I get measured (3 hours after waking up) I get the same figure I get at night. Same height

I am not sure if I worked seating I had taller figure at morning, or just some people once they are walking a bit abd over 1 hour we get to low immediately
Canson said on 28/Aug/17
@Johnson: pogba with a lean is still taller than wall is.
Canson said on 28/Aug/17
@Johnson: I believe it's way more than one cm between them. It looks an inch if he's up straight. I won't rule out 190cm for Pogba but he could be a full 6'3" at his lowest. 191cm could be a bust a guy in the AM especially how he looks Ibra who is 194-194.5
Johnson said on 27/Aug/17

Yes Johnson Pogba is leaning. He is taller than Wall.

I do believe Wall is taller than Curry by maybe a CM no more than that. Curry as you know because we had this discussion once where you made up a measurement for him and said "he measured it from his hotel" is listed 6'2 (tweeted at 630 in the AM). My guesses for normal heights for them.

Wall: 187cm

Curry:186-186.5

@Junior: I buy it because SJH another poster here also said the same thing that he's 187cm max in person as well as two friends of mine who have met Wall one 6'3 the other 6'0". Both said something to the effect of him being 6'1.5 or 6'1-6'2.

I agree on Russ I think his measurement is legit and accurate as is worst case maybe he dips 1/8" but having met Carmelo before he looks his 6'6.25ish in person and has Russ by 4". The pre draft shifted from afternoon to morning in 09 and curry was drafted that year. I believe he's more like 6'1.5 maybe 186 range 6'1 3/8 possibly and that Wall is like you said a weak 6'2. He's not as tall as Russ is in reality if you see them on the court
Canson said on 6/Aug/17
@Shane: actually in a few pics with Sabathia Judge looks taller imho so the 6'6.5 could be close to a low for him maybe a bit lower like Carmelo Anthony's height 6'6-6'6.25. But surprisingly he may be 6'7" out of bed or a hair over which is reasonable for a 6'7" listing even on the roster
Canson said on 6/Aug/17
@Editor Rob: some very good insights from Shane here below. Aaron Judge is very deserving of a page and you'd get some good dialogue there lol!

@feez: 6'2" may be a roundup from 6'1.75-6'2 range (and that year 2009 was an early morning measurement as evidenced with his 630am tweet along with the Blake Griffin video at 630am). But that would still put him mid 6'1" range like 186-186.5 in the afternoon. Based on Mike Greenberg who said he himself is 5'11 1/2 and curry is st most 2" taller and how curry looks with Jarrett jack (188-189 in person).
feez said on 3/Aug/17
Also Jeremy Lin is more than one inch taller than Stephen Curry

@Canson: I think Rob needs a thread for Aaron Judge for sure. Probably a few other baseball players, but DEFINITELY him. He looked easily over an inch taller than 6'6" listed Stanton of the Marlins at Home Run Derby. I'm thinking he's at least 6'6" flat barefoot at some point in the day, maybe 6'6" 1/2. Hard to tell with so many shorter players on the diamond. I have no doubt he's 6'7" in shoes for sure. Some baseball players heights are more inflated than basketball players, but I don't think Judge is one of those guys. I'd say he could have gotten by with a 6'8" listing in MLB or NBA and not many would have doubted it.

As for Curry, I stand by 185 to 185.5 at his low. Probably closer to 185.25.

@Shane: what do you think about Aaron Judge? 6'7" in your book? I would compare him to Sabathia but would say the latter is 6'5/6'6 not 6'7"
Shane said on 21/Jul/17
Baseball heights are typically shoe heights as well or barefoot with an inch or two added. Some say MLB heights are more passed than NBA generally.
Intevel said on 13/Jul/17
Rob if NBA players can measure their height in shoes, would it make sense for super models to measure their height in heels?
Editor Rob: nobody should really be stating their height in anything but their bare feet...

but if you really want to tell people your height (and include the shoe height) then best mention it, because when we talk about human height, it is a measure from the soles of our feet to the top of our skulls.

I hope the NBA stopped inflating the actual height of basketball players and ditched the silly sneaker measurements entirely.

@6'1.5guy: Good to see another fellow basketball lover!!! I agree with many of your estimates too. I'd say tho for AI tho weak 5'11 sounds more like it. Lebron and Larry Brown had AI as more 5'10.5. than flat 5'10. He's close to 6'0" or right at in shoes. Rondo definitely looks a legit 6 feet with Pierce and Ray Allen Not 5'11. I'd put pierce and Allen as roughly 6'6" and 6'4" respectively. Rose looks about right 6'1-6'1.5 Lilliard weak 6'1 Wall weak 6'2" Irving 6'1" solid (he looks taller than Lillard).

Real heights PG NBA:
1. Steve Nash – 6'0.5 (184-184.5 cm), not 6'1".

3. Allen Iverson – just over 5'10" (178.5 cm, max 179 cm), LeBron version is 5'10". Nothing more.
4. Chris Paul – about 5'11" (179-180 cm).
8.5-9 cm shorter than Steph Curry.
5. Deron Williams – 6'0.5" (184 cm, maybe 183.5 cm).
6. Rajon Rondo – 5'11.25" (180.5-181 cm, nothing more).
7. George Hill – about 6'1" (185 cm).
8. Derrick Rose – strong 6'1.5" (187 cm).
