wesley snipes is 5'8". he was shorter than 5'9" charlie sheen in MAJOR LEAGUE. more than 1 inch shorter than 5'9.5 woody harrelson. snipes is 5'8".
Danimal says on 16/Aug/10
In one of the Blade movies (could have been Trinity) they clearly show his "characters" profile card and it CLEARLY states that Blade is 5'8", which I believe is Wesley Snipes absolute real height. Danimal says on 16/Aug/10

Wesley Snipes is 5'9 1/2". He is a weak 5'10".
Wesley = 5'8"

lol @ the quotte above. at barely 5'9" or less hes still short. especially for a african-american Don says on 5/Aug/10
he was the shortest dude in white men can't jump. woody harrelson had him by at least an inch dan says on 2/Aug/10
Wesley Snipes is a big time 5'8 lift wearer. He's clearly an inch shorter than Woody Harrelson in white men can't jump and money train. Way too much evidence of him being shorter and woody is 5'9 1/2 TOPS. There's an episode from around 2001 with him on howard stern claiming that he's 5'11 and howard laugh's and say's there's no way your any taller than 5'10. Look for it! Me personally, I still dont think the guy's any taller than 5'8.5 though, there's just no way. Marcus says on 22/Jul/10
Snipes wears suspicious footwear, which gives him an extra 1-3". An accurate estimate for him would be 5'8" flat barefooted. Marcela says on 15/Apr/10
I saw him at Whole Food Market at he is at the most 5.8 with his running shoes. bk says on 12/Apr/10
he doesn't tower over Cheadle in Brooklyn's finest, but he's a solid 2 inches taller than him. 5-8 Don Cheadle has decent footwear too, often wearing boots in every scene so Snipes is likely 5-10. And no, Don Cheadle is not as low as 5-7. josh says on 21/Mar/10
woody is 5'9 like snipes. anonymous says on 20/Mar/10
user: BMAC You seem to be confused. Hollywood works magic with height in movies....on a set/in film you can never use that as a yard stick. On talk shows, premiers, fan photos....that's where it's easier to tell. The Movie the Money Train with Wesley Snipes & Woody Woody Harrelson they are about the same height. Woody Harrelson is no 5'11 he's 5'10 at best. If Snipes is 5'11....then I guess Pigs Fly, I Personally Know the Easter Bunny. Anonymous says on 18/Mar/10
don cheadle is 5'7" and the difference was more like 2. BMAC says on 5/Mar/10
Those of you who say he is only 5'9' is obsered. I just watched Brooklyn's Finest his latest film. He stood next to 5'8 Don Cheadle and towered him by AT LEAST 3 inches. Maybe even 4. He is 5'11 no doubt. For sure a SOLID 5'11 barefoot. 6ft with shoes. If you don't believe it watch Brooklyn's Finest and look at Don CHeadle wh is for sure a solid 5'9 with shoes. @ RisingForce:
I'm sorry, but Hawke is slouching on both of those pics. If he made an effort to stand up straight as a rail, which Snipes, like Stallone, has mastered, he'd 2.5 inches taller, easily. Also, I don't think you realize how good most elevator pads are nowadays. You can gain 1.5 inches just by inserting an insole into a regular sneaker. If those sneakers already gave him a slight edge on Cheadle via footwear (we can't see what Don was wearing) then that would explain a lot.
I have met Snipes personally back in 2004 and I put him at no more than 5'8 and a quarter. I give him credit though, because again, like Stallone, he really has put a lot of effort into faking it. Danimal says on 7/Jan/10

I'll give him 5'9.5 too sandman says on 16/Oct/09
I'm in the movie business and I can guarantee you that the height someone appears on screen is the worst possible way to estimate an actor's actual height. We have a dozen ways (and reasons) to make someone appear taller, shorter, fatter, skinnier, whatever. Trust the notes from people who met him in person. That's your best source. I was shocked when I read BigKing's comment. So being 5'9"(exactly average height) is embarrassing? And how is 5'9" a short Big King? I HATE when people call 5'9" short, even 5'8" isn't really short much less 5'9". Big King is literally out of his mind. He thinks that at 6'6" he's too short! Yeah maybe too short for an NBA power forward but otherwise 6'6" is tall enough to do anything.
not to be to picky, there's nothing wrong with being tall, but Big King is too tall to be an effective NFL running back, probably too tall for a hockey forward (good height for a defenseman though) and would be hard pressed to pack on the necessary muscle mass for an O or D lineman in the NFL. His chance of becoming a movie extra would be limited especially in a Cruise, Gibson or Snipes film and the only comfortable way for him to fly is first class. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of things tall guys are better suited for (volleyball!) but don't forget the advantages of having a smaller frame. Hey, let the shorter guys set the taller guys up for a volleyball spike. Can't we all just get along? lol. Cheers. ed says on 30/May/09
wesley is 5.95 i was at a party with him Dallas says on 28/May/09
In undisputed they said he was 5'11 and 195lbs. Don't know if that is true in real life or if that was just what was in the script. Anonymous says on 23/May/09
1 inch error is totally acceptable. Men's height can vary as much as an inch between morning and night. Some of those action stars are indeed shorter than average ppl. There's nothing to be embarassed'bt it. They used to film a lot of movies in my school. What I can say is that ppl are not as tall as they appear on the big screen. Random Guy says on 20/May/09
I met him a party last year. I'm 5'9. He was about 1-1.5 inches taller than me and he was wearing socks. josh says on 5/May/09
did you see him in new jack city with alan payne he looked the same height as him or maybe even taller and alan payne is actually listed 6'1 all over the sites no way he is that tall he is more like 5'10 RisingForce says on 20/Apr/09
He does look shorter there, about 2 inches shorter or close to it as you said. I started watching it on AMC a little later though. I turned it on during the flashback scene when Cutter's wife is killed. So I apologize for my mistake there. But from about 8:43 on they look a lot closer in height. From about 9:12 on they look about the same, Tom might be a hair taller there.
Look at them from 16:33. There they look the same height. The full body shot is about from 16:41 on.
I'll agree that Wesley is more likely under 5-10 and used bigger lifts for the scenes I pointed out to look even with Sizemore. Sizemore's slouch could help as well. TELLEM says on 18/Apr/09
no he didn't. he looked shorter than sizemore. by 2 inches or close to it. heres the link: start watching @ 8:10 seconds: Click Here
wesley is 5'9. RisingForce says on 9/Apr/09
Snipes actually looked every bit as tall as 5'11" Tom Sizemore in Passenger 57, even in full body shots! He's certainly not less than 5'9" and I'm wondering about 5'10" at this point. |
